    摘要： It was discovered that insulin binding to insulin receptors signals the upregulation of expression of the liver enzyme deiodinase 1 (Dio1), which in turn activates the ApoA-1 promoter, thereby thereby increasing ApoA-1 expression (primarily in the liver), that in turn raises the levels of plasma ApoA-1, the major and necessary protein in HDLC. Certain embodiments of the invention are directed to methods for increasing circulating HDLC levels in an animal by administering therapeutically effective amounts of Dio1, or by increasing the level of Dio1 through gene therapy.

    摘要： A foreign wireless communication system is operated in a local communication network as if the foreign wireless communication system were a local wireless communication system. A data communication link is established between the wireless communication system and a service provider in a local wireless communication network. An outgoing request for authentication information is communicated from the wireless communication system to a remote administration system over the data communication link. The authentication information is received over the data communication link from the administration system and is transmitted over a signal link from the wireless communication system to the service provider. A requested wireless communication service is received at the wireless communication system based on authentication of the wireless communication system by the service provider using the authentication information.

In a preferred embodiment, the handset is coupled via cellular network through a data network to the world wide network of computers. The method includes transferring caller number information associated with a caller number within a second country code from the first mobile handset to the data network. In a preferred embodiment, the second country code is different from the second country code. The method includes receiving the destination information at a call server process, which is coupled to the world wide network of computers. The method also includes receiving the caller number information at the call server process. The method initiates a first VoIP phone call using the caller number information from the server process to the first mobile handset. The method initiates a second VoIP phone call using the destination number information from the server process to the second handset. The method also connects the first VoIP phone call to the first mobile handset to the second VoIP phone call to the second handset through the server process. The method also includes exchanging voice information between the first mobile handset and the second handset free from an international toll charge.
