    摘要: Since common E-DCH resources may be assigned from a single Node B, uplink macro-diversity may not be possible between neighboring Node B's. In addition, a user equipment (UE) assigned a common E-DCH resource may not be allowed to perform cell reselection. Thus, maintaining the assignment of a common E-DCH resource to a given UE for more than a few hundred milliseconds may result in unacceptable inter-cell interference, for example, when the UE moves closer to a neighboring cell controlled by a non-serving Node B. To overcome inter-cell interference and allow a more extensive utilization of the Cell_FACH state, a method may be used to detect and/or control inter-cell interference.

    摘要: A method for acquiring and applying offload area information for offloading a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) to a small cell in a different frequency layer is disclosed. The WTRU may enter a region or a macro cell and receive offload area information of the region in which a small cell in the vicinity of the macro cell is located. The offload information may be received in a system information block (SIB), dedicated signaling, or any other radio signal. The WTRU may perform measurements to determine the location of the WTRU and to determine whether it has entered any offload areas. Upon a determination that the offload area information is no longer valid, the WTRU may delete the offload area information.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for acknowledge mode data (AMD) re-segmentation are disclosed. An AMD protocol data unit (PDU) is generated from at least one RLC SDU. The AMD PDU size is within a flexible maximum AMD PDU size. The original AMD PDU is stored in a retransmission buffer, and transmitted. If transmission of the original AMD PDU fails and the original AMD PDU size is larger than an updated maximum AMD PDU size, the original AMD PDU is segmented to segmented AMD PDUs. If transmission of one of the segmented AMD PDUs fails, the original AMD PDU may be re-segmented to smaller size AMD PDUs.

    摘要: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) to transmit uplink information. The WTRU may have information such as data or control information to transmit to a network. The (WTRU) may request a common enhanced dedicated channel (E-DCH) resource from the network. The WTRU may receive an indication from the network to fallback using a random access channel, e.g. a Release 99 Random Access Channel (R99 RACH), a Release 99 Physical Random Access Channel (R99 PRACH), etc. The indication may be received via an acquisition indicator (E-AI). The indication may be a value of the E-AI. The WTRU may determine whether a condition is met. The WTRU may transmit the uplink information over the R99 PRACH if the condition is met.

    摘要: Method and apparatus for receiving high speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) transmissions are disclosed. An HS-DSCH medium access control (MAC-ehs) entity receives MAC-ehs protocol data units (PDUs) via a high speed downlink shared channel (HS-DSCH) while in one of Cell_FACH, Cell_PCH, and URA_PCH states. The reordering PDUs included in the MAC-ehs PDUs may be sent to a next processing entity without performing reordering of the PDUs. A certain reordering queue may enter a suspend state upon occurrence of a triggering event and MAC-ehs PDUs distributed to the reordering queue in the suspend state may be forwarded to the next processing entity without performing reordering. MAC-ehs reset procedure may be extended for a certain transmission such that the MAC-ehs reset is performed after receiving a MAC-ehs PDU in a target cell.

A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may be pre-configured with HS-DSCH configuration for the target cell. The WTRU may start monitoring a high speed shared control channel (HS-SCCH) on the target cell using the pre-loaded HS-DSCH configuration for the target cell on a condition that a measurement report is triggered by the event 1D. The WTRU may initiate a timer when the WTRU starts monitoring the HS-SCCH on the target cell.
