摘要: A display device includes a condition judgment unit which judges whether a received email satisfies a predetermined condition. Moreover, the display device includes a data deletion unit which deletes attached data in an email from a recording unit if the condition judgment unit detects that the email does not satisfy the predetermined condition. Moreover, the display device includes a condition registration unit which receives a condition for storing attached data. The condition registration unit receives a transmission source email address of an email which a user desires to store. When an email is received by the email reception unit, the condition judgment unit judges whether the transmission source email address coincides with a part or whole of the reception-enabled address. If yes, the attached data is stored. Otherwise, the data is deleted.

摘要: In a visual inspection method and apparatus, a picture processing unit converts an original picture, obtained by taking a photograph of a BGA illuminated by a ring illuminator from above, using a camera, and labels a binary picture obtained by this binary conversion. Then, it forms a rectangle circumscribing an outer circumference of a labeling picture obtained by the labeling, and inverts a labeling picture within the formed circumscribing rectangle, and removes a portion of a region formed by the outer circumference and the circumscribing rectangle in a picture obtained by the inversion, and then generates an inspection picture by adding a picture obtained by the removal to the labeling picture, and accordingly judges a pass or rejection of the inspection target sample based on the generated inspection picture. Thus, the inspection can be carried out at high accuracy irrespectively of a low cost.

摘要: A small and high-speed polarization analysis device and ellipsometer having no driving section are provided by overlapping one polarizer array rendered by arranging a plurality of polarizer regions of mutually different optical axis directions in the form of stripes and one wavelength plate array rendered by arranging a plurality of wavelength plate regions of fixed retardation and mutually different optical axis directions in the form of stripes so that the respective stripes of the plurality of polarizer regions and of the plurality of wavelength plate regions intersect one another and by disposing a light-receiving element array so that the intensities of light that has passed through the matrix-like intersection parts can be individually measured. As a method of analyzing a two-dimensional intensity distribution pattern that is observed by the light-receiving element array of the polarization analysis device, either one of (or both of) the algorithms of a method that determines incident polarized waves by mathematically fitting pattern shapes or performing database matching or a method that performs a Fourier transform on pattern shapes and determines incident polarized waves from the frequency components is (are) used. Furthermore, if necessary, more accurate polarization analysis is also possible by adopting a signal processing method that removes signals from light-receiving element regions that receive unnecessary scattered light and diffracted light.

摘要: A probe testing apparatus reads the surface shape of a contact pad in pressure contact with a contact probe, and differentiates the read surface shape to extract a multiplicity of flat parts. Next, the probe testing apparatus complements the multiplicity of flat parts to generate a reference shape, and subtracts the reference shape from an averaged surface shape to detect a plurality of recesses having a predetermined depth or more. Next, the probe testing apparatus selects one from the plurality of recesses corresponding to reference information, enlarges the selected recess outward by predetermined dimensions, and subtracts the reference shape from the initial surface shape at the position of the enlarged recess to detect an impression of the contact probe. Finally, the probe testing apparatus determines from the position and depth of the detected impression whether the contact probe is acceptable or defective. In this manner, even if the compact pad is formed with miniature irregularities on the surface thereof, the probe testing apparatus can precisely detect the impression of the contact probe from the surface shape to determine whether the contact probe is acceptable or defective.

摘要: There is provided a semiconductor laser including (a) an n-type semiconductor substrate, (b) an active layer formed on the n-type semiconductor substrate, (c) a first p-type semiconductor layer formed adjacent to the active layer, (d) an n-type semiconductor layer formed adjacent to the first p-type semiconductor layer, (e) a second p-type semiconductor layer formed adjacent to the n-type semiconductor layer, and (f) a lightly doped n-type semiconductor layer formed between the n-type substrate and the first p-type semiconductor layer. The semiconductor laser prevents a pnpn thyrister from turning on to thereby ensure sufficient block breakdown voltage even at a high temperature or even when much current is applied thereto.

摘要: An optical recording apparatus for automatically compensating for focus offset which cannot be compensated for with a conventional focus servo circuit. A plurality of auxiliary signals differing from one another in the frequency domain is generated, a rotational synchronism signal is generated by detecting an index mark put on the optical disk in advance to indicate the reference point of the rotational phase, and a switching signal is generated in response to the rotational synchronism signal. In response to the switching signal, a plurality of auxiliary signals and an information signal are consecutively outputted and recorded onto a track of the optical disk.

摘要: An apparatus and method for recording and reproducing information onto or from a rotating magnetooptic disc such that optimal laser power is maintained throughout the recording process. A test recording laser beam undergoes stepwise power changes as the recording position along a track of the disc changes. The recording signal is read out by a reproducing mechanism corresponding to the stepwise power change. A correcting mechanism utilizes the read-out signal to obtain the optimal power of the recording laser beam. Then, routine recording is carried out utilizing the optimal laser power. As routine recording is carried out, the optimal laser power is corrected depending upon the radial distance of the track being recorded from the center of the disc. As a result, optimal laser power is maintained regardless of the track position on the magnetooptic disc.
