    摘要: An electric control system for an automobile transmission includes an endless transmission member running on a pair of V-shaped pulley units, the mutual distances of the conical sheaves of which are hydraulically adjustable to transmit an output torque of an engine to a driven apparatus. The electric control system is arranged to determine an optimum fluid pressure in relation to the actual output torque of the engine and to determine an optimum transmission ratio for low fuel consumption in relation to the actual output power of the engine. The control system produces a first electric control signal indicative of the difference between the optimum fluid pressure and the actual fluid pressure in one of actuators for the respective pulley units and produces a second electric control signal indicative of the difference between the optimum and actual transmission ratios. The pressure of fluid applied to one of the actuators is controlled in response to the first electric control signal, and the flow quantity of fluid applied to the other actuator is controlled in response to the second electric control signal.

    摘要: A pumping apparatus is adapted for providing a small amount of flow rate under high pressure and includes a pumping chamber, a rotating shaft and an impeller in the form of a disk which impeller is connected at its central portion to the rotating shaft to rotate in the pumping chamber. A first pumping section of the pumping apparatus comprises a bypass regenerative pump which includes grooves formed on the opposite side surfaces of the impeller and arranged in a circle surrounding the rotating shaft, and groove-like channels formed on the wall of the pumping chamber in facing relationship to the grooves on the impeller with narrow gaps therebetween. A second pumping section of the pumping apparatus is connected in series to the first pumping section between the outer peripheral portion of the impeller and the wall of the pumping chamber, and comprises a regenerative pump which includes grooves provided on the outer peripheral portion of the impeller.

    摘要: In combination with a belt tensioner which includes an idler pulley to be radially displaced under control of an actuator for applying an tensioning force on an endless belt of the drive system for the vehicle accessories, an electric control apparatus comprises a microcomputer for calculating the actual tensioning force on the belt related to radial displacement of the idler pulley and for calculating drive power necessary for driving the vehicle accessories to calculate total drive torque of the vehicle accessories in relation to rotational speed of a prime mover of the vehicle. The microcomputer also calculates an optimum tensioning force based on a desired relationship between the optimum tensioning force and the total drive torque in consideration with the maximum efficiency of power transmission of the belt such that it generates a control signal when the calculated actual tensioning force is different from the calculated optimum tensioning force. An electrically operated drive mechanism is responsive to the control signal from the microcomputer to operate the actuator in accordance with the difference between the calculated actual and optimum tensioning force.

    摘要: A brake oil pressure control device including a main line system for a normal braking operation, and a subline system for antiskid control and acceleration slip control. The main line system connects a master cylinder to a wheel cylinder, and has a first valve which opens the main line for a normal braking operation, and closes the main line when an antiskid control or acceleration slip control is in effect. The subline system has an oil pump connected to the wheel cylinder through a subline having a second valve, which is controlled to open and close the subline for the antiskid control or acceleration slip control. Inlet and outlet ports are connected by a relief pipe having a third valve and a relief valve. The relief valve opens the relief pipe under pressure from the master cylinder when a discharge pressure from the oil pump is higher than the pressure at the master cylinder, to restrain the discharge pressure from the oil pump. The third valve opens the relief pipe for an antiskid control, and closes the relief pipe for an acceleration slip control.

    摘要: A torque transmission system has driving and driven pulley units around which an endless V-belt extends. Each pulley unit has a stationary pulley part rotatable with a shaft and a movable pulley part disposed to define with the stationary pulley part a circumferentially continuous groove for receiving the V-belt. The movable pulley parts of the pulley units are axially resiliently biased so that the radii of the circle along which the V-belt engages the driving and driven pulley units are varied to change the speed-change ratio of the transmission system. The movable pulley part of the driven pulley unit is axially shifted by the action of fly weights held between a stationary plate fixed to the shaft and a holder fixed to the movable pulley part. A cover is provided to cover the outer end of the movable pulley part, the stationary plate and an adjacent end of the shaft and cooperates with the stationary plate to define therebetween a first space which is communicated through a port in the stationary plate with a second space defined between the stationary plate and the holder. The first space is also communicated with the atmosphere through an axial bore extending axially through the shaft. A third space defined between the stationary and movable pulley parts is communicated with the axial bore through a second communication port formed radially in the shaft, whereby the three spaces are maintained substantially at the atmospheric pressure regardless of changes of the volumes of the spaces due to axial movements of the axially movable members, so that the torque transmission system can be free from any adverse effect which would otherwise be caused by the compression of air in the mentioned spaces.

    摘要: A torque transmission system has driving and driven pulley units drivingly connected by an endless V-belt. Each of the driving and driven pulley units includes a stationary pulley rotatable with a shaft and a movable pulley disposed to define with the stationary pulley a circumferential continuous groove for receiving the V-belt. The movable pulleys of the driving and driven pulley units are axially resiliently biased so that the radii of the circles along which the V-belt engages the driving and driven pulley units are varied to change the speed-change ratio of the transmission system. The movable pulley of the driven pulley unit is axially shifted by fly weights. The driving and driven pulley units are provided with cam mechanisms each comprising a cam member and a follower member.
