The electromechanical brake pressure generator encompasses a screw drive assemblage for converting an input-drive-side rotational motion into a translational motion for brake pressure generation. The screw drive assemblage encompasses a spindle that is rotatable via an electric motor, a spindle nut that interacts with a thread of the spindle so that the spindle nut is axially displaceable with a rotation of the spindle, and a housing that at least partly surrounds the spindle and the spindle nut. The screw drive assemblage additionally encompasses a drive wheel, which is disposed nonrotatably on the spindle and by way of which the spindle is connected to the electric motor. The spindle and the drive wheel are mounted, via a common bearing, rotatably with respect to the stationary housing. The bearing is radially surrounded at least partly by the drive wheel.

Further steps include; determining individual motor characteristic variables, determining a current rotational-speed-dependent parameter of an individual motor during the operation of the pump, and calculating a pressure which is characteristic of the braking system, by means of the diagram parameter of the individual motor and the value of the current motor actuation which determines the intensity of the motor actuation, wherein the individual motor characteristic variables are taken into account.

The hydraulic unit includes a hydraulic block and an electric motor for driving hydraulic pumps inside the hydraulic block. The hydraulic block and electric motor are joined at a circumferential joint. For connection, the invention provides that the electric motor is provided with a radial flange, which is overlapped by a surrounding bead of the hydraulic block. The bead is designed so that it overlaps, in a radial inward manner, the radial flange of the electric motor by a joining process, for example, a surrounding caulking. The electric motor is sealingly connected to the hydraulic block in a simple manner by the surrounding joining process.

To achieve this, the power supply or control conductors (4.1;4.2) are configured as a fixed plug-in connector, with their ends on the motor housing side fixed into the brush plate (5) in the form of a pre-assembled component unit, in particular as a one-piece, bent part of a punched grid (4) that has been injected into said brush plate. Their free plug-in ends on the other hand, which are surrounded by an elastic insulating jacket, can be elastically bent away in a transversal direction to their axial direction of insertion in order to compensate tolerances.
