Abstract: An eccentric groove 10 is formed in an outer peripheral surface of an outer ring 5 and an outer peripheral surface of an eccentric ring 1a shaped like a segmentary ring is engaged with an inner peripheral surface of a housing 3 by friction. An elastic deformation part having a predetermined length dimension in the circumferential direction is formed in a part of the eccentric ring 1a. The elastic deformation part projects between a bottom face 11 of the eccentric groove 10 and the inner peripheral surface of the housing 3 in the mounting state in the housing 3. Resultantly, the rotation prevention effect of the outer ring 5 with respect to the housing 3 is improved.

Abstract: An information storage device randomly accesses data items in a sequential access storage medium. A controller, upon loading of the sequential access storage medium, causes the blocks of data items in the sequential access storage medium to be copied to corresponding blocks on the random access storage medium whose correspondence is established by the table. A table establishes the correspondence between blocks of data items in the random access storage medium and blocks of data items in the sequential access storage medium. Upon receiving an instruction from a host computer, the controller further performs a series of read/write operations on the blocks of data items in the random access storage medium. The overwritten blocks of data items on the random access storage medium are updated to the corresponding blocks on the sequential access storage medium.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method of detecting the presence or absence of a single nucleotide polymorphism of a gene, for prediction of the risk of developing drug-induced lung injury, or for improving a therapeutic method, and a kit for carrying out the detection method. The detection method is characterized by comparing an ABCB1 gene in a biological sample with a wild-type ABCB1 gene to detect the presence or absence of a single nucleotide polymorphism in the ABCB1 gene in the biological sample, in particular, by determining the nucleotide at position 3751 of the CDS of the ABCB1 gene. The kit comprises an oligonucleotide probe which specifically binds to a single nucleotide polymorphism in an ABCB1 gene under selective binding conditions, or an oligonucleotide primer which amplifies a nucleic acid sequence comprising a single nucleotide polymorphism in an ABCB1 gene.

Abstract: A touch panel is constructed by a display/sensor unit which is slightly larger than a display screen of an LCD and a sensor unit which is projected to the outside from one side, for example, from one side on the right. A finger of the user is touched to a selection item such as desired button, icon, or the like on the display/sensor unit and vertically moved on the sensor unit. A selection display constructed by a plurality of buttons is displayed along the side of the display screen by the LCD. A button beside the finger is highlighted. When the finger is released, the highlighted button is selected. If there are no buttons adjacent to the finger, the button is not highlighted. Even if the finger is released, the state is not changed. When finger is moved to the display/sensor unit, the selection display disappears.

Abstract: This invention realizes correct adjustment of lip-syncing of video and audio on a decoder side. According to this invention, a plurality of encoded video frames given video time stamps VTS and a plurality of encoded audio frames given audio time stamps ATS are received and decoded from an encoder side, and the resultant plurality of video frames VF1 and plurality of audio frames AF1 are stored, a time difference which occurs due to a difference between the clock frequency of the reference clock of the encoder side and the clock frequency of the system time clock stc of the decoder side is calculated by a renderer 37, 67, and video frame output timing for sequentially outputting the plurality of video frames VF1 frame by frame is adjusted based on audio frame output timing for sequentially outputting the plurality of audio frames AF1 frame by frame, according to the time difference, resulting in realizing the lip-syncing with keeping sound continuousness.
