摘要: A lubricant composition for a compression-ignition internal combustion engine comprises: (i) an amine as an ashless fuel additive having a total base number (“TBN”) of from about 275 to about 600 mg KOH/g when tested according to ASTM D2896; and (ii) a detergent selected from metal sulfonates, phenates, salicylates, carboxylates, thiophosphonates, and combinations thereof. The lubricant composition has a TBN of from about 20 to about 130 mg KOH/g when tested according to ASTM D2896. The amine contributes greater than about 30% of the TBN of the lubricant composition. Further, a method of lubricating an internal combustion engine with the lubricant composition comprises the steps of injecting a fuel and the lubricant composition into a cylinder to form a mixture, and combusting the mixture via compression-ignition.

摘要: The invention provides a water-soluble metal-working oil agent, including a component A, a component B, a component C, and a component D, wherein the component A is an ester compound which has a characteristic temperature, as measured in accordance with JIS K2242, of 570° C. or higher and which is contained in the water-soluble metal-working oil agent in an amount of 10 mass % or more with respect to the entire amount of the agent; the component B is at least one condensed fatty acid which is selected from a condensed fatty acid (1), produced through dehydration condensation of a hydroxycarboxylic acid, and a condensed fatty acid (2), produced through dehydration condensation of an alcoholic hydroxyl group of the condensed fatty acid (1) with a monovalent carboxylic acid, which has a characteristic temperature, as measured in accordance with JIS K2242, of 650° C. or higher, and which is contained in the water-soluble metal-working oil agent in an amount of 7.5 mass % or more with respect to the entire amount of the agent; the component C is a carboxylic acid which is contained in the water-soluble metal-working oil agent in an amount of 2 mass % or more with respect to the entire amount of the agent; and the component D is a basic compound contained in such a neutralization equivalent that at least the component B and component C are neutralized to cancel out the sum of the acid values thereof. The agent can provide excellent workability with a hard-to-work material and can prolong tool life.

摘要: The present invention relates to a brake fluid composition comprising a glycol compound as a solvent, and triazole, thiadiazole mixture, and antioxidant as metallic corrosion inhibitors. Provided is a brake fluid composition having improved long-term metallic and high-temperature corrosion inhibition. The brake fluid composition according to the present invention significantly improves long-term durability by being a superior anti-corrosive as well as having a reduced weight variation on a test piece, and has a superior high-temperature corrosion inhibition while having negligible effects on the equilibrium reflux boiling point and the wet equilibrium reflux boiling point.

摘要: The invention provides a metalworking oil composition which is used for a very small amount of oil-feeding type metalworking method, said composition comprising a base oil selected from the group consisting of natural fats and oils, derivatives thereof and synthetic ester oils; and an antirust agent comprising a sorbitan fatty acid ester and a phospholipid, and a metalworking method using the composition and metalwork obtained by the metalworking method. The oil composition shows excellent lubricity and antirust property and is suitably used for metalworking of metallic materials such as cast iron, steel, stainless steel, and nonferrous metal (such as Al alloy and Mg alloy) by a method in which a very small amount of oil is supplied.
