摘要: An intraocular lens adapted for deployment within a lens capsule. At least part of a lens surface of the intraocular lens constitutes a cell inducing region in which are directly formed a multitude of microgrooves. The microgrooves take a form of minute linear grooves and lands of depth dimension between 0.01 and 1.0 μm and width dimension between 0.1 and 2.0 μm extending with prescribed length in a circumferential direction on the lens surface. The minute linear grooves and lands are formed with a chained pattern connected in the circumferential direction of the lens surface and with a periodic pattern arrayed periodically in a diametrical direction so that the minute linear grooves and lands are formed without intervening spaces throughout the entire cell inducing region and impart visible light transmittance of 60% or above to the cell inducing region.

摘要: A pressure detection device for detecting an increase of pressure acting thereon includes an electrically conductive device housing which has an accommodation bore extending inward from one end of the device housing and a slide bare extending between the accommodation bore and the other end of the device housing. A piston is slidably disposed within the slide bore and adopted to receive a pressure, and a terminal serving as one electric contact is fixed to the accommodation bore via an electrical insulator. A disk spring serving as the other electric contact deforms due to a pressing force of the piston and coming in contact with the terminal. The pressure detection device further comprises an electro-functional member attached to either the terminal or the disk spring in which the electro-functional member is changeable its electric resistance due to an impressed pressing force acting thereon. Further, at least one of a notch and a chamfer is provided on the electro-functional member for changing its electric resistance characteristic.

摘要: A temperature sensing element includes a thermistor composed of Si-base ceramics and a pair of metal electrodes bonded onto the surfaces of the thermistor. The metal electrodes contain Cr and a metal element α having a Si diffusion coefficient higher than that of Cr. A diffusion layer is formed in a bonding interface between the thermistor and each metal electrode, the diffusion layer including a silicide of the metal element α in a crystal grain boundary of the Si-base ceramics. A temperature sensor including the diffusion layers is provided. Owing to the diffusion layers, the temperature sensor ensures heat resistance and bonding reliability and enables temperature detection with high accuracy in a temperature range, in particular, of from −50° C. to 1050° C.
