    摘要: Tools for updating business objects. The tools include an update utility that can allow a user to identify a selection tool to select a population to be updated. Further, the update utility can provide an interface to allow any of a number of available update tools to be used to update the selected data population. In some cases, the update utility adheres to a framework that employs metadata to identify available update tools, their capabilities, and/or their requirements. This framework can allow the utility to be configured to support new update tools without requiring extensive modification of the underlying framework or its implementing software.

    摘要: Methods and apparatuses for priming sample substrates such as DNA sipper chips are disclosed. According to one aspect of the present invention, a priming system that is suitable for priming a substrate which has a plurality of wells and at least one channel includes a base unit and a top unit. The base unit is arranged to accommodate, or support, the substrate. The top unit, which is substantially physically separate from the base unit, fits over the substrate when the substrate is held by the base unit. The top unit includes an adapter portion that interfaces with the substrate. Included in the adapter portion is a first cavity that is used to facilitate pressurizing a first well of the substrate when the adapter portion is interfaced with the substrate such that the first cavity is aligned with the first well.

    摘要: A furnace blower apparatus has a tubular housing that is connected between a heating furnace and an exhaust flue of the furnace. The housing has an interior bore containing a fan assembly for drawing air through the furnace burner chamber on operation of the fan assembly. The housing includes a panel that is removably mounted to a side wall of the housing. The fan assembly is mounted to an interior surface of the panel, whereby the fan assembly can be removed from the interior of the housing by removing the panel from the housing.

    摘要: The control software of a central office-installed ringback test device is augmented to allow a craftsperson to test the operability of a caller identification, call-waiting (CIDCW) class of service of a line, without participation of another technician at the central office. Rather than instructing the craftsperson to go back in-hook, the SASS's microcontroller maintains the trunk circuit through which the incoming call is coupled to the SASS in a suspended, continuously monitored state, so as to effectively busy out the calling line. The SASS then places a return call to the calling number by way of the ringback line, which by-passes the trunk, to the central office switch. If the line circuit from which the call is being placed is equipped with CIDCW class of service, the incoming call from the SASS will exercise its functionality--including providing a ringing signal back to the SASS, and an indication to the calling technician of another call, including the originating telephone number of that call--but it will not return a busy tone to the SASS. If the SASS receives busy tone, it knows that the line of interest is not properly equipped with CIDCW class of service.
