    摘要: The present invention relates to a socket for coupling a capillary tip, comprising: a body in which an intra-tubular passage penetrating through both sides thereof is formed, a suction unit of sample collection equipment is provided to be coupled to one side, and a capillary tip is provided to be coupled to the other side; a pressure-varying hole unit which is formed in the body and includes a through hole formed through the intra-tubular passage and the outside of the body; and an opening-and-closing unit which is elastically supported by the pressure-varying hole unit and is installed to close or communicate the through hole and the intra-tubular passage while moving with an elastic force. The present invention can expand the use area for the utilization of capillary tips and can simplify a sample-collecting configuration through the application of manual sampling equipment.

    摘要: An adapter for connecting an array of pipette tips having through bores with conical upper ends to a multichannel air displacement pipettor having a plurality of ports with compliant internal sealing surfaces. The adapter comprises a planar base with an array of openings extending between its top and bottom surfaces. Sealing tubes project upwardly from the top surface, and tip mounting tubes project downwardly from the bottom surface, with pairs of sealing tubes and tip mounting tubes being arranged coaxially and in communication with respective ones of the openings in the base. The tip mounting tubes are externally dimensioned and configured for insertion into the conical upper ends of the pipette tips, and the sealing tubes are externally configured and dimensioned for insertion into the ports of the pipettor and into sealing interengagement with their compliant internal sealing surfaces.

    摘要: A mechanism that provides an improved method of loading and unloading a row of disposable pipette tips onto a handheld multichannel pipettor. A single button for tip load and unload operations is simpler than the current method of using a separate mechanism for ejecting the tips. The tips are configured in a rigid collar which is held by a clamp on the pipettor. An upward force combined with a sealing gasket that mates with the top of the pipette tips is used to provide the seal between the tips and the pipettor. This eliminates the requirement to “press downward” with excessive force in order to force the pipette tips onto a protruding sealing part. The loading and unloading of tips will be more reliable and repeatable, this providing better pipetting results. The low forces of the loading and unloading operations reduce the chance of repetitive stress injury for the operator.
