摘要: A contact area-sensor includes a plurality of image scanners, each of which includes an image scanning sensor substrate in which a plurality of sensor sections are aligned in a matrix manner so as to scan an image; and a connecting line having flexibility, for connecting the plurality of image scanners to each other. On this account, it is possible to provide a small, thin, light-weighted contact area-sensor, which is capable of obtaining a wide area of an image, while ensuring superior portability.

摘要: When a core lens is introduced into a cavity, resin is injected into the cavity, and a resin layer is formed around the core lens, the core lens is centered by sandwiching the core lens between first and second bell clamp type holders and applying a load to the core lens, and the resin layer is molded by injecting the resin from the outer periphery of the core lens to the lens center of the core lens in the first and second bell clamp type holders.

摘要: The animal waste collection sheet is planar and is consisted of a top sheet which is liquid permeable, a back sheet which is liquid impermeable and an absorbent sheet disposed between the top sheet and the back sheet. The top sheet has a high fiber density region in a thickness direction thereof, with a fiber density higher than an average fiber density of the top sheet, at least in a part of a side facing the absorbent sheet. The average fiber density is preferably in the range of 0.005 to 0.20 g/cm3, and a fiber density of the high fiber density region is preferably in the range of 0.007 to 0.25 g/cm3.

摘要: The present invention relates to an information processing system, an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, a recording medium, and a program. An information processing stand-in-only apparatus 12 having a sub-processor 62 arranged to execute a predetermined process causes the sub-processor 62 to perform function programs held in a command set ROM 53 in accordance with function execution commands sent by a master apparatus using software cells. An information processing apparatus 11 having a sub-processor 32 for performing general-purpose processing causes the sub-processor 32 to carry out function programs sent by the master apparatus using software cells. This invention applies among others to computer systems for effecting distributed processing.

摘要: The present invention relates to an information processing apparatus and method, and to a program that ensure connection between devices connected to transmission paths of various transmission speeds. A media IM client #1 logs in to a media IM server 14 and executes a speed measurement process with a measurement server 200 to determine its uplink speed and downlink speed. A media IM client #2 at the other communication party also logs in to the media IM server 14 and executes a speed measurement process with the measurement server 200 to determine its uplink speed and downlink speed. The media IM clients #1 and #2 exchange the determined speeds via the media IM server 14, setting a set speed, and communicate with each other at the set speed. The present invention is applicable to a personal computer, a network-enabled CE device, and a commercial application server on the Internet.
