摘要： A method for confining circuit cards to different locations within a housing is provided. The housing includes a frame having an array of slots, each containing one of the circuit cards. In one embodiment, the receptacle has a cam that is selectively engageable with the frame for clamping the circuit cards within the frame. In another embodiment, a shaft is rotatably attached to the receptacle. The shaft has a head at one end and a nut opposite the head. A resilient element is disposed on the shaft between the head and the nut. The resilient element is axially compressible between the head and nut to bulge generally perpendicularly to the axial direction into engagement with the frame for clamping the circuit cards within the frame.

A guideway spans the length of the handle, and a pair of jaws, adapted to retain the fuse, protrudes from an end of the handle. A rod is disposed within the guideway and is selectively actuatable within the guideway for releasing the fuse from the jaws.

摘要： A method to remotely determine a location of a mobile unit without intervention by a user of the mobile unit is provided. The mobile unit may receive a location query, download location data from a GPS, and transmit the location data via a wireless telecommunications network. For example, a call center may initiate a location query using a voice channel call to the mobile unit. In addition, the mobile unit may select a mode of communication from a number of alternative modes of digital wireless communication based upon a determined characteristic of the transmission mode. By way of example, the determined characteristic could be a transmission speed, cost of transmission, or signal strength of the selected communication mode. Furthermore, the unit may be a battery pack or other accessory device attachable to a wireless telephone handset.

摘要： An apparatus is provided for therapeutic exercising of the scapula related muscles of a body. A scapula harness fits tightly over a shoulder and an upper arm of the body and extends over a breast and an opposing scapula area of the body. The harness has a plurality of attachment straps, each of which has a downwardly extending attachment end. A plurality of urging springs are each connected to one of the attachment ends and establish a variable tension force to each attachment strap. A plurality of tensioning straps are each connected at one end to one of the urging springs so that a force applied to any one of the tensioning straps causes one of the urging springs to extend. A seat has a horizontal, upward facing surface for supporting the body in a seated position, a peripheral edge, and at least one holding clamp for holding the straps in fixed positions and under a desired tension. The tension force is transferred by the attachment strap through the harness to the scapular muscles, thereby providing resistance to upward, forward, and rearward motion of the scapula muscles during exercising. A colinear tensioning strap and an urging spring attached to the tensioning strap may be further included for causing a resistance vector in a horizontal plane so that the scapular related muscles may be exercised by moving the body so that the harness moves downwardly and posteriorly.

摘要： Methods for molding a surround over a liner to form a composite shell are provided. The liner is placed in a mold and molten surround material is injected into the mold so as to surround the liner. A surface of a protrusion of the liner abuts the mold so that the surface is exposed and is substantially flush with an exterior surface of the surround after the composite shell is removed from the mold. Molten surround material flows into a slot in a perimeter of the protrusion so that when the surround material solidifies, a rib of surround material extends into the slot to form a pressure seal between the liner and the surround. An adhesive is applied to the liner before placing the liner in the mold for reducing relative movement between the liner and surround as the surround material solidifies and the liner and surround cool.

In some examples, the plant growing apparatus includes a carousel that is powered such that controlled movement of tubs/containers/vessels with plants or plant matter on the carousel about an axis allows for controlled and measured exposure of the plants/plant matter to predetermined frequencies of light from a light source. The light sources are positioned such that, as the plants/plant matter pass by the light sources in a controlled and timed rotation, a predictable amount of light in predetermined frequencies that is necessary to promote healthy plant growth is provided to the plant/plant matter. The described plant growing apparatus including the carousel provides a uniform distribution of light vis-à-vis traditional plant growing methods and therefore achieves higher yields from the plant/plant matter.
