Abstract:
The ceramides according to the invention are compounds corresponding to the formula: ##STR1## in which: R.sub.1 is a C.sub.11 to C.sub.21 alkyl or alkenyl radical; R.sub.2 is a linear or branched C.sub.1 to C.sub.29 hydroxyalkyl radical or a C.sub.7 to C.sub.29 hydroxyaralkyl radical, these compounds being in the form of a racemic mixture of the erythro and threo diastereoisomers for the aminodiol part ##STR2## in erythro:threo ratios of from 85:15 to 20:80. Application to cosmetic and dermopharmaceutical compositions.

Abstract:
A dry offset printing process using a printing apparatus including a) at least one inker block, each block inking a relief plate corresponding to one color of the final motif to be reproduced on an object and including an inker and a succession of transfer rollers, and b) a central blanket which can be placed into contact with the object to be decorated. An ink of suitable tackiness is selected, and the temperature of the ink is regulated in the inker to a predetermined temperature between 15.degree. and 30.degree. C.
Abstract:
Retinoic esters of L-cladinose have the formula ##STR1## wherein the ##STR2## radical is (all trans) retinoyl, (13 cis) retinoyl or etretinoyl, and R.sub.2 represents linear or branched alkyl having 1-24 carbon atoms; and the .alpha. and .beta. anomers and their mixtures. These esters are usefully employed in human and veterinary medicines and in cosmetic compositions.
Abstract:
All trans or 13-cis retinoic acid esters of macrolide and lincosamide antibiotics. These esters are useful in the therapeutic and cosmetic treatment of dermatosis and principally in the treatment of acne.
Abstract:
According to the invention, the surface of a blank to be shaped into a product is decorated by marking on a test blank a plurality of reference points distributed over the entire surface of the test blank which will be affected by the shaping. The test blank is then shaped into a test product and the positions of the reference points are determined. A block of decoration to be obtained on the product is formed, and the positions of the reference points on the test product are located on the block. The decoration is then converted into a plurality of pixels of each inking color, and the position of each pixel with respect to the reference points on the test product is located. A corresponding pixel position with respect to the reference points on the test blank is also determined, and a film is prepared by printing the film with each pixel of the decoration reproduced in a location corresponding to the corresponding location on the test blank. At least one blank is then decorated with the film.
Abstract:
An O-acyl product derived from glucose which may be obtained by partial or total esterification of glucose and of vitamin F, comprising a mixture of esters, for example, monoesters, of glucose and of at least one acid chosen from linoleic acid, oleic acid, palmitic acid and stearic acid, compositions, for example, cosmetic and pharmaceutical compositions, comprising this novel derivative, and their use for improving the condition of head hair and/or other hairs, and, for example, for reducing and/or impeding the loss of head hair and/or other hairs, and/or for inducing and/or stimulating hair growth, as well as a process for preparing O-acyl derivatives mainly in position 6 of glucose, comprising preparing a mixed anhydride by reacting a carboxylic acid with a trimethylacetyl halide, followed by reacting said mixed anhydride formed with glucose.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to specific dimercaptoamides, reducing compositions for permanently reshaping keratin fibers comprising the dimercaptoamides, for instance, human keratin fibers such as the hair; and processes for reshaping keratin fibers comprising the application of said reducing compositions. The present disclosure also relates to processes for preparing the dimercaptoamides.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cosmetic treatment method for keratin materials, especially the hair, comprising the application of a cosmetic composition which comprises a polymer having a polymer backbone comprising amino acid monomer units with cationic function, and comprising hydrophilic grafts bonded covalently to said backbone, over all or part of said backbone, said hydrophilic grafts comprising the repetition of at least two hydrophilic monomer units of formula —CH2—CH2—O—.
