    Abstract: A method is disclosed for dividing a composite material in which a brittle material layer and a resin layer are laminated, including: a resin removing step of irradiating the resin layer with a laser beam oscillated from a first laser source along a scheduled dividing line of the composite material to form a processing groove along the scheduled dividing line; a brittle material removing step of irradiating the brittle material layer with a laser beam oscillated from an ultrashort pulsed laser source along the scheduled dividing line to form a processing mark along the scheduled dividing line; and a brittle material layer dividing step of generating thermal stress in the brittle material layer by irradiating the brittle material layer with a laser beam oscillated from a second laser source from the opposite side to the resin layer to thereby divide the brittle material layer.

    Abstract: Provided is a production method for a film laminate by which a tough film can be bonded to a brittle film while the breakage of the brittle film is prevented. The production method for a film laminate of the present invention includes bonding a tough film having an elongated shape to a brittle film having an elongated shape while conveying the brittle film, wherein the method includes bonding the tough film and the brittle film to each other by bringing the tough film close to the brittle film, followed by blowing of a gas from a side of the tough film opposite to the brittle film.

    Abstract: There is provided a method by which a glass plate and an optical functional film can be integrally subjected to machining processing without the occurrence of any inconvenience. A production method for an optical laminate according to the present invention includes: laminating a glass plate and an optical functional film to form an optical laminate; superimposing a plurality of the optical laminates to form a workpiece; and relatively moving the workpiece and machining means, which includes a rotating shaft extending in a lamination direction of the workpiece and a machining blade formed as an outermost diameter of a main body configured to rotate about the rotating shaft, while rotating the machining means, to subject outer peripheral surfaces of the workpiece to machining processing. In the method, a feed per blade in the machining processing is from 5 μm/blade to 30 μm/blade.

A pressure-sensitive adhesive film including a long resin film; and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer arranged on one surface of the resin film.     Abstract: A method is disclosed for dividing a composite material 10 including a brittle material layer 1 and a resin layer 2 that are laminated together, the method includes: a resin removing step of applying laser light L1 oscillated from a CO2 laser light source 20 to the resin layer along a planned division line DL of the composite material, so that a processed groove 24 is formed along the planned division line; and a brittle material removing step of applying, after the resin removing step, laser light L2 oscillated from an ultrashort pulsed laser light source 30 to the brittle material layer along the planned division line, so that processed marks 11 are formed along the planned division line. The processed marks formed in the brittle material removing step open on the resin layer side and do not penetrate through the brittle material layer.
