    Abstract: In some embodiments, there is provided an apparatus comprising at least one processor; and at least one memory including computer program code, the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to at least: receive, from a user equipment, a request to join a multicast, broadcast service; and send, in order to process the request, information in a request message to an access network node, the information including an identifier of the multicast, broadcast service, an identifier of a user equipment context and/or a session identifier corresponding to the user equipment served by the access network node, a source address and/or a multicast address where the access network node can access, via an N3 interface, data of the multicast, broadcast service.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for individual delivery of location-based multicast services are provided. One method may include receiving, by a session management node, information that a user equipment is participating in a multicast session, determining that the UE is served by a radio access node that does not support multicast sessions, and determining that the multicast session is only to be delivered to one or several service areas. In response to determining that the UE is served by a radio access node not supporting multicast and that the multicast session is only to be delivered to one or several service areas, the method further comprises subscribing to at least one notification from at least one access and mobility management node.

One method may include receiving, at a user plane node, a request from a session management node, to receive packets for a multicast session and/or to send packets from the multicast session within a protocol data unit (PDU) session.     Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for roaming of multicast MBS services. One method may include attaching, by a user equipment, to a visited public land mobile network as inbound roamer. The user equipment then receives a service announcement comprising at least one of a multicast service session allowed to be accessed by inbound roamers indication or multicast service class. The user equipment determines whether the user equipment is allowed to access a multicast session or multicast service class in the visited public land mobile network. The user equipment transmits, in response to determining that the user equipment is allowed to access, a request to join a multicast session comprising an identifier of the multicast session and/or a multicast service class. The user equipment receives an indication of an acceptance or rejection of the request to join the multicast session.

    Abstract: Various techniques are provided for an apparatus that can identify a multicast and broadcast services session associated with user equipment device(s) in a serving cell associated with the apparatus, communicate a first information set including information associated with the serving cell and the MBS session provided in the serving cell, receive from an apparatus associated with a neighboring cell, a second information set including information associated with the neighboring cell and an MBS session provided in the neighboring cell, determine at least one MBS serving characteristic associated with the serving cell based on the UEs in the serving cell being served by the apparatus and the received second information set, determine whether the serving cell associated with the apparatus is a preferred cell to serve the MBS session to UEs based on the at least one MBS serving characteristic, and in response to determining that the serving cell associated with the apparatus is the preferred cell to serve the MBS session to UEs, serving, by the apparatus, the MBS session to the UEs communicatively coupled with the apparatus.
