A steering wheel for a motor vehicle has a steering wheel rim which is closed on all sides and which is connected with a central steering wheel hub by way of radially projecting spokes. The steering wheel rim includes sections which are connected with one another in the cross-section, one forming a decorative section which has a different material at least on the exterior side. In the gripping area of the steering wheel rim which is predominantly gripped by the hands in the driving operation, the decorative section is reduced in its grippable width by the pulled-around other rim section.

A cover plate for the opening of a shift assembly covering with a gate in this plate for receiving a selector lever of an automatic transmission of a motor vehicle, the selector lever to be moved in the plate on a shift assembly. The cover plate must always be closed with separate mounting of the plate and the covering despite necessary compensating dimensional tolerances, that in arrangements of these two parts within the entire tolerance range, no visually disturbing impression is created. A cover plate permanently connected with the shift assembly covers the edge area of the opening of the covering with play over a covering area that takes into account the dimensional tolerances between the installation positions of the covering and the shift assembly.

A spunbonded fabric is described that is made of polyester matrix filaments and a binding component consisting of thermoplastically softenable fibers, filaments or the like, and that is suitable for use as a tufting base. The melting point of the polyester matrix filaments is by at least 90.degree. C. above that of the binding component. In the tufted condition, before the coating of the back, the maximum tensile stretching value of the carpet material is more than 50%.

An electric motor vehicle coolant pump for cooling an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle includes a pump housing and a rotor rotatably supported in the pump housing. The rotor comprises a motor rotor configured to be substantially pot-shaped. The motor rotor comprises a pot bottom and a ferromagnetic substance so as to be magnetized in at least a bipolar manner. A pump rotor comprises a plurality of rotor blades and an annular cover ring arranged on distal ends of the plurality of rotor blades. The plurality of rotor blades are configured to stand directly on the pot bottom of the motor rotor. The pump rotor and the motor rotor are each integral plastic material parts separately produced by an injection molding. The pump rotor and the motor rotor are made from different materials. The pump rotor is not ferromagnetic.
