Abstract: A battery includes a first positive electrode collector, a first negative electrode collector, a first power generating element, a second power generating element, and a first insulating part. The first and second power generating elements each include a positive electrode active material-containing layer, a negative electrode active material-containing layer, and an inorganic solid electrolyte-containing layer. In each of the first and second power generating elements, the inorganic solid electrolyte layer is in contact with the positive electrode active material-containing layer and the negative electrode active material-containing layer. The positive electrode active material layers of the first and second power generating elements are in contact with the first positive electrode collector. The negative electrode active material layers of the first and second power generating elements are in indirect contact with the first negative electrode collector. The first insulating part is disposed between the first and second power generating elements.

Abstract: A battery includes a positive electrode current collector, a positive electrode, a first electrolyte layer, a second electrolyte layer, a negative electrode, and a negative electrode current collector in this order. The first electrolyte layer contains a first solid electrolyte material, and the second electrolyte layer contains a second solid electrolyte material, the second solid electrolyte material being different from the first solid electrolyte material. An oxidation potential of the first solid electrolyte material is more noble than an oxidation potential of the second solid electrolyte material. Abstract: Provided is a battery having further improved charging/discharging efficiency. Abstract: A sulfide solid electrolyte material includes a sulfide layer and an oxide layer disposed on the sulfide layer. The sulfide layer contains a sulfide that contains lithium, phosphorus, a halogen, and sulfur. The oxide layer contains an oxide that contains lithium, phosphorus, a halogen, and oxygen. In a 31P-NMR spectrum of the sulfide solid electrolyte material, a first peak component, which is defined within a first chemical shift range from 87.6 to 88.4 ppm, has an intensity equal to or less than 0.42 times that of a second peak component, which is defined within a second chemical shift range from 83.6 to 84.4 ppm.
