摘要: A carpet stain removal product and process are disclosed. The product includes a liquid cleaning composition (18) which contains water, an organic solvent and a surfactant, an absorbent stain receiver, and a sonic or ultrasonic wave generating source (10) for imparting sonic or ultrasonic waves onto stains (14) on textiles (16). The sonic or ultrasonic wave source is, for example, a hand-held, pen-shaped device with a directed point to focus the sonic or ultrasonic waves at the stain to be removed.

摘要: A screening system having a resiliently mounted frame with a screen extending thereacross. The frame is vibrated by a low frequency vibratory drive using eccentric weights. About the peripheral frame of the screen, a high frequency drive or drives is employed to vibrate the screen in the range of 20,000 Hz. The high frequency vibration is generated at the peripheral frame about the screen. The screen is responsive to the high frequency vibrations in a plate-like manner rather than as a membrane.

摘要: An electric oscillating tool, having particular but not necessarily exclusive utility as an electric toothbrush, for driving a brush head assembly or end effector with a resonant mechanism at high frequencies. The electric toothbrush includes handle housing, an electromagnetic motor mounted in the housing, and a mechanical oscillator acted upon by the motor. One end of the mechanical oscillator extends outwardly through an opening in the handle housing while the other end is attached to the housing inside the chamber. The end effector/brush head assembly attaches to the extending end of the mechanical oscillator. A power source supplies an alternating current drive signal to the motor, in turn causing the armature and the mechanical oscillator to oscillate and drive the brush head assembly. Control circuitry senses the frequency of oscillation of the mechanical oscillator and controls the frequency of the drive signal to maintain the mechanical oscillator at resonance under the variety of loads imposed during use.

摘要: A first electrode arrangement and a transport element are movable relative to a support. A working space is disposed between the movable elements for advancing moist material along a processing path. As the moist material advances, electrical current is passed through the material between the first electrode arrangement and a second electrode arrangement adjacent the transport element. An acoustic transducer arrangement disposed adjacent the working space simultaneously subjects the moist material to an acoustic field as the material moves along the processing path. The acoustic field is generated by an array of acoustic transducers spaced along part of the processing path.

摘要: In a method and apparatus for forming a bonded web comprised at least in part of a polyester, a first material web and a second material web are arranged in opposed relationship with each other at least along those portions of the first and second material webs to be bonded together. At least one of the first and second material webs is comprised at least in part of the polyester. The opposed webs are transported in a machine direction to the nip of a bonding apparatus comprised of a first bonding member and a second bonding member defining the nip therebetween for passage of the opposed first and second material webs therebetween in the machine direction. A shear force is applied to the webs generally in the machine direction at the nip and the webs are mechanically bonded together at the nip while the shear force is applied to webs.

摘要: Apparatus and methods are disclosed for cooking and indicating the doneness of food products immersed in a hot liquid cooking medium such as deep hot fat. An indicator circuit that cooperates with an acoustic detector produces a first control signal indicating that acoustic activity in the cooking medium has fallen to below a threshold level for a predetermined first period of time, and afterwards produces a second control signal correlated to the doneness of the cooked food product a predetermined second period of time following said predetermined first period of time.
