摘要: A process for the preparation of toner comprising mixing a colorant containing a surfactant and a latex emulsion, and wherein the latex emulsion contains resin and a nonionic hydrolyzable surfactant, and wherein said surfactant is of the Formulas (I) or (II), or optionally mixtures thereof ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a hydrophobic aliphatic, or hydrophobic aromatic group; R.sup.2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, alkylaryl, and alkylarylalkyl; R.sup.3 is hydrogen or alkyl; A is a hydrophilic polymer chain, and m represents the number of A segments; heating below about the resin latex glass transition temperature, followed by the addition of an anionic stabilizer, thereafter heating above about the resin glass transition temperature, and adjusting the pH of the resulting mixture of resin and colorant particles suspended in an aqueous phase containing anionic surfactant, cationic surfactant and nonionic hydrolyzable surfactant, wherein said pH is increased from about 1.7 to about 2.5 to about 6 to about 12 by adding a base during the heating above about said resin glass transition temperature wherein coalescence is being accomplished.

摘要: A process for preparing a toner includes mixing a polymeric resin emulsion, a colorant dispersion, and a wax to form a mixture; optionally adding a coagulant to the mixture; heating the mixture at a temperature below a glass transition temperature of the polymeric resin to aggregate the polymeric resin, colorant, and wax, to form aggregated particles; adding a coalescent agent to the aggregated particles; heating the aggregated particles and coalescent agent at a temperature above the glass transition temperature of the polymeric resin, to coalesce the aggregated particles to form toner particles, optionally cooling the mixture, and isolating the tone particles.

摘要: A process for fabricating an electronic device including: depositing a layer comprising a semiconductor; liquid depositing a dielectric composition comprising a lower-k dielectric material, a higher-k dielectric material, and a liquid, wherein the lower-k dielectric material and the higher-k dielectric material are not phase separated prior to the liquid depositing; and causing phase separation of the lower-k dielectric material and the higher-k dielectric material to form a phase-separated dielectric structure wherein the lower-k dielectric material is in a higher concentration than the higher-k dielectric material in a region of the dielectric structure closest to the layer comprising the semiconductor, wherein the depositing the layer comprising the semiconductor is prior to the liquid depositing the dielectric composition or subsequent to the causing phase separation.

摘要: A semiconducting ink formulation comprises a semiconducting material; a first solvent; and a second solvent which is miscible with the first solvent, has a surface tension equal to or greater than the surface tension of the first solvent, and in which the semiconducting material has a solubility of less than 0.1 wt % at room temperature The surface tension of the ink formulation can be controlled, allowing the formation of semiconducting layers in organic thin film transistors, including top-gate transistors.

摘要: Organic thin film transistors with improved mobility are disclosed. The transistor contains two interfacial layers between the dielectric layer and the semiconducting layer. One interfacial layer is formed from a siloxane polymer or silsesquioxane polymer. The other interfacial layer is formed from an alkyl-containing silane of Formula (1): where R′ is alkyl having from about 1 to about 24 carbon atoms; R″ is alkyl having from about 1 to about 24 carbon atoms, halogen, alkoxy, hydroxyl, or amino; L is halogen, oxygen, alkoxy, hydroxyl, or amino; k is 1 or 2; and m is 1 or 2.

摘要: An ink jet ink includes an ink vehicle, wherein the ink vehicle includes at least one wax monomer functionalized to include in the chain at least one reactive group curable upon exposure to radiation. The reactive group is preferably curable via cationic or free radical polymerization. In a preferred embodiment, the ink vehicle includes a wax monomer having a structure: wherein C represents a cationically curable group and R represents a radically curable group. The inks may be used to form an image by jetting the ink onto a transfuse member surface, increasing the viscosity of the ink upon the transfuse member surface, subsequently transferring the ink from the transfuse member surface to an image receiving substrate, and exposing the ink to radiation following the transfer to the image receiving substrate to effect reaction of the at least one reactive group.
