    Abstract: A cable connection for connecting a cable 9 to an underwater installation 7 comprises a connector (2, see FIG. 2) for connection to an end of the cable 9, the connector having at a first end engagement means for engaging with the installation 7, a tether (4, see FIG. 2) which in use has a first end attached to the connector and a second end attached to the cable at a distance from said end of the cable and guide means (12, 13, 14) located proximate a section of the cable adjacent said end of the cable so that in use said section is substantially restrained by said guide means at a predetermined angle with respect to the engagement means.

    Abstract: A co-axial wear adjuster and wear sensor for a brake caliper includes a sleeve having an external tooth form engageable with a toothed adjustment wheel of a brake tappet. The sleeve rotates with the tappet and is threaded to engage a relatively non-rotatable, but axially movable, bolt. A wear sensor is partly within the sleeve and has a plunger operably engaged with the bolt. The bolt may be tubular to carry a screw-threaded head whereby a position of the plunger may be set.

    Abstract: Techniques are disclosed to provide security for user input in which a first, host operating system is used along with a second, high assurance operating system, where the first system provides at least some of the infrastructure for the second system. Two modes are presented. In a first mode, user data is passed to the host operating system. In a second mode, user data is retained in the second operating system for the use of the second operating system or processes running on the second operating system. Transitions between the nodes can be accomplished according to hypothecated user actions such as keystroke combinations, or when the user performs an action which indicates a programmatic activation of a process running in the second operating system. Where shadow graphical elements are run by the first operating system to indicate the location of graphical elements from processes running on the second operating system, this programmatic activation may be indicated by programmatic activation of a shadow graphical element.
