Abstract:
A circuit comprising an ECM system is provided. The circuit includes a current monitor circuit configured to monitor the ECM system to measure a set of currents supplied to a set of circuits. The circuit also includes an alert circuit configured to generate an alert based on at least one current of the set of currents in comparison to at least one threshold. The circuit further includes a throttle circuit configured to throttle a performance of at least one circuit in order to decrease the current to the at least one circuit based on the generation of the alert. The current used by the circuit may act as an analogue for the system power used. Accordingly, the current used by the circuit may be used to determine when to throttle one or more aspects of the functionality of the circuit.
Abstract:
A battery charging circuit includes a buck converter, a charge pump power converter, a sensor external to or internal to the battery charging circuit, and a control unit. The charge pump power converter includes an output coupled to an output of the buck converter for charging a battery. The sensor is configured to sense a total input current. The control unit receives the total input current that is sensed and compensates for a variation in an input current to the charge pump power converter based on whether the total input current meets a specified current variance.
Abstract:
Features and advantages of the present disclosure include a switching regulator and current measurement circuit. In one embodiment, a switching transistor in the switching regulator has a first voltage on a first terminal and a switching voltage on a second terminal. A current measurement circuit has first and second input terminals. A first switch couples the second terminal of the switching transistor to the first terminal of the current measurement circuit when the switching transistor is on, where the second input terminal of the current measurement circuit is coupled to the first terminal of the switching transistor and measurement(s) may be taken. When the switching transistor is off, the first and second input terminals of the current measurement circuit are coupled together, and measurements emulate zero current through the switching transistor.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for illuminating a subject for image capture are described herein. A processor may determine an ambient color temperature of a subject. The processor may further determine a color temperature for outputting light from a display facing a first direction based on a light output characteristic for a dedicated illumination element facing the first direction, the determined ambient color temperature, and a desired color temperature of the subject. The processor may further illuminate the subject using both the dedicated illumination element and the display. The display may output light based on the determined color temperature for outputting light from the display. The processor may further capture, using an image sensor facing the first direction, an image of the subject during the subject being illuminated using both the dedicated illumination element and the display.
Abstract:
A low standby power DC-DC converter can be powered down during standby mode. The DC-DC converter can be periodically awakened between sleep cycles to check if the output voltage needs to be recharged (refreshed). The duration of the sleep cycles can be varied to accommodate for changing load conditions that would affect the output voltage.
Abstract:
System, methods, and apparatus are described that facilitate signaling between devices over a single bi-directional line. In an example, the apparatus couples a first device to a second device via a single bi-directional line, indicates initiation of a first action, initiated at the first device, by sending a first single transition on the single bi-directional line from the first device to the second device, and indicates initiation of a second action, initiated at the second device, by sending a second single transition on the single bi-directional line from the second device to the first device. In another example, a first device initiates a first action, indicates initiation of the first action by generating a first event on a single bi-directional line, and receives an indication of a second action initiated at a second device by observing a second event on the single bi-directional line.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a voltage regulator circuit configured to selectively operate the voltage regulator circuit in a first mode of operation and a second mode of operation. The voltage regulator can change operation of the voltage regulator circuit between the first mode of operation to the second mode of operation in response to a change in a sensed load condition of the voltage regulator circuit. The voltage regulator can change operation from the second mode of operation to the first mode of operation in response to the sensed load condition changing from the second load condition to the first load condition, but only when the sensed load condition has not changed in a given direction between the first load condition and the second load condition for at least a predetermined period of time T.
