    摘要: Binders which are hardenable by radiation or peroxides and are useful in coating compositions are compounds containing isocyanurate groups and olefinic double bonds produced by the reaction of components (a), (b) and (c) wherein(a) is a polyisocyanate component containing isocyanurate polyisocyanates which is(i) N,N',N"-tris-(isocyanatohexyl)-isocyanurate alone or in admixture with its higher homologs containing more than one isocyanurate ring or(ii) mixtures of the polyisocyanates (i) with up to 40 NCO-equivalent-%, based on the total component (a), of other polyisocyanates containing aliphatically or cycloaliphatically bound isocyanate groups;(b) is an olefinically unsaturated alcohol component comprising at least one hydroxyalkyl ester of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid; and(c) is a polyol component consisting essentially of a polyester polyol having an OH value of 80 to 350 based on (i) an acid component, of which at least 80 carboxyl equivalent-% is adipic acid, isophthalic acid or a mixture of both and (ii) a polyhydroxy component of which at least 70 hydroxyl equivalent-% is hexane-1, 6-diol;wherein component (c) amounts to 20 to 150% by weight, based on the weight of component (b), and the reaction is carried out at with an NCO:OH equivalent ratio maintained at 0.9:1 to 1.1:1, and wherein components (b) and (c) are reacted with the polyisocyanate component in any order or in admixture.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a new process for the preparation of polyisocyanates containing isocyanurate groups by the partial trimerization of the isocyanate groups of 1-isocyanato-3,3,5-trimethyl-5-isocyanatomethyl-cyclohexane (also known as isophorone diisocyanate and abbreviated IPDI), using catalysts which accelerate the trimerization of isocyanate groups, characterized in that the catalysts used are quaternary hydroxyalkyl ammonium hydroxides containing at least one hydroxyalkyl group. The present invention also relates to the polyisocyanates containing isocyanurate groups produced according to this process and to their use, optionally in the form of products which are blocked with blocking agents for isocyanate groups, as isocyanate components for polyurethane lacquers.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a process for the production of polyisocyanates containing isocyanurate groups by trimerizing a portion of the isocyanate groups of hexamethylene diisocyanate using N,N,N-trialkyl-N-benzyl-quaternary ammonium hydroxides as the trimerization catalyst, terminating the trimerization reaction at the desired degree of trimerization by adding a catalyst poison and/or by thermally deactivating the catalyst and removing unreacted hexamethylene diisocyanate to a residual content of at most 0.2% by weight, characterized in that a) the hexamethylene diisocyanate used as starting material is freed from carbon dioxide to a residual content of less than 20 ppm (weight) and b) the catalyst is used in a quantity of less than about 0.03% by weight, based on the weight of the hexamethylene diisocyanate used. The present invention is also directed to the polyisocyanates containing isocyanurate groups obtained by this process and to their use, optionally blocked by blocking agents for isocyanate groups, as the isocyanate component for the production of polyisocyanate polyaddition products.

    摘要: A process for the production of compounds which crosslink under the effect of high-energy radiation containing isocyanurate groups, olefinic double bonds, and, optionally, blocked or free isocyanate groups by reacting(i) isocyanurate-group-containing polyisocyanates which are based on aliphatic and/or cycloaliphatic diisocyanates with(ii) compounds containing at least one isocyanate-reactive group and at least one olefinic double bond, such as hydroxyl-containing esters of acrylic acid and methacrylic acid with at least dihydric aliphatic alcohols having a molecular weight of from 62 to about 300,to form urethanes, the quantitative ratios between the reactants being selected so that for every free isocyanate group in component (i), the reaction mixture contains from about 0.9 to 1.5 hydroxyl groups of component (ii).The present invention also relates to the compounds prepared by this process and to the use of these compounds as the binder or a binder component in coating compositions crosslinkable by high-energy radiation.

    摘要: The present invention is concerned with a process for producing biuret polyisocyanates and the polyisocyanates so produced. These isocyanates are produced by the reaction of at least about a four fold molar excess of a diisocyanate having aliphatically bound isocyanate groups with amino alcohols having a particular structure at a temperature between about 90 and 200.degree. C. The amino alcohols contain at least three carbon atoms, have their hydroxyl and amino groups separated by at least two carbon atoms, and may contain urea, urethane, ether or amino bonds. The present invention is also concerned with a process for producing two component and one component moisture curing lacquers using the biuret polyisocyanates of the present invention and the lacquers so produced.
