    摘要: An integrally formed field emission device and electron emission control circuit wherein electron emission is controlled by a current source semiconductor circuit and a semiconductor switch coupled such that upon application of switching information to the switch the field emission device is enabled to an ON mode for the time duration of the information and during which time the current source provides a determined electron current to be subsequently emitted by the emitter of the field emission device. A field emission device array and electron emission control circuits is provided to effectively control electron emission for each field emission device in the array.

    摘要: A CDCFL latch circuit having a plurality of inputs and first and second outputs includes a gate circuit responsive to logic input signals supplied to the plurality of inputs for providing complementary output logic signals at the first and second outputs when the gate circuit is rendered operative. A regeneration circuit is coupled to the first and second outputs for maintaining the complementary output logic signals at the first and second outputs when the regeneration circuit is rendered operative and the gate circuit is rendered non-operative. A shared load circuit provides current to the gate circuit when the gate circuit is operative and for providing current to the regeneration circuit when the regeneration circuit is operative. A control circuit responsive to a complementary clock signal and coupled between the shared load circuit and the gate and regeneration circuits alternately renders the gate circuit operative when the complementary clock signal is in a first logic state and the regeneration circuit operative when the complementary clock signal is in a second logic state.

    摘要: A control system for a hydroelectric power plant of the run-of-river type wherein the load on the turbine-generator units is matched to the flow of the river so that the units operate at the maximum head available for existing flow conditions to produce the maximum energy available from the river flow for the installed capacity of the plant and within the allowable, safe operating capability range of the turbine-generator units. Reservoir water level sensors provide a signals indicative of changing water level, sensors for generator electrical and thermal operating characteristics provide a signals related thereto, and a control connected to the water level sensors, to the generator sensors and to the turbine governor adjusts the turbine flow control devices to change the turbine power in response to changing river level within the safe and allowable operating range of the generator. Adjusting the turbine power to match the water available either when the reservoir level increases or decreases maintains maximum head for the power plant to obtain maximum energy therefrom. A tailwater level sensor and cavitation control also control the turbine flow control devices in an appropriate manner when a condition of cavitation is being approached. The control system typically is employed with a plurality of turbine-generator units in a hydroelectric power plant.

    摘要: A repair bracket that provides a substitute for one or more broken anchoring tabs of a manhole base. The repair bracket is an expansible bracket that has a frame member with a central manhole access passage through the frame member. The frame member has threaded holes transversely through the frame member and located at positions corresponding to positions of threaded holes in the original unbroken anchoring tabs of the manhole base. The threaded holes are used to connect the frame member to a manhole cover by threaded bolts extending through the cover and into the threaded holes. Expansible actuators are mounted to the frame member and are capable of moving a part of the expansible bracket outward into engagement against the inner wall of the base or a sleeve or casing attached to the base.
