Abstract:
An UI section accepts operation of a user. A setting selection section judges as to whether this user operation instructs a process operation executed in accordance with setting information of an IC chip attached to an original document, or another process operation executed in accordance with setting information entered by the user. In the former case, an operation control section controls a data reading section so as to read out the setting information from the IC chip attached to the original document, and also, controls a print control section to perform printing/FAX transforming operations in accordance with this read setting information. In the latter case, an operation control section controls a data writing section in order to write the setting information entered by the user into the IC chip.
Abstract:
When a printing paper to which an IC chip storing secret information is attached is discarded, a shredder applied voltage to the IC chip by a discharging unit to destroy the IC chip and to make it impossible to read the secret information therefrom. Thereafter, a shredding cutter shreds the printing paper and the shred printing paper is discarded.
Abstract:
A sender email client, in response to a request to send an email with attachment, determines whether a recipient of the email has distributed storage separate from an incoming email server of the recipient for storing email attachments. If so, a location server is consulted for the distributed storage's network address and its availability is determined. The send request is then serviced accordingly. An email service, in response to receiving an email with attachment, determines whether a recipient of the email has distributed storage for storing email attachments. If so, its network address and availability are likewise determined. The attachments are forwarded to the recipient's distributed storage for storage, when it becomes available. An email recipient client, in response to a request to access an email attachment, retrieves the attachment from the recipient's distributed storage or the incoming email server, as appropriate.
Abstract:
A mode selection unit, a blower unit and a temperature control unit are mounted on a cluster panel of a vehicle. The mode selection unit, the blower unit and the temperature control unit have a function of controlling the wind blow position, a function of controlling the wind blow rate and a function of controlling the wind blow temperature respectively, and are constituted by operating mechanisms mechanically separated from one another. Accordingly, the degree of freedom in the layout of the mode selection unit to the temperature control unit is improved so that it becomes easy to dispose them in accordance with the vehicle-side design.
Abstract:
An object-oriented compound document architecture provides system level support for document processing features. The object-oriented compound document framework supports a variety of document processing functions. The framework provides system level support of collaboration, linking, eternal undo, and content based retrieval, among other things. System level support is provided for document changes, annotation through model and linking, anchors, model hierarchies, enhanced copy and pasting, command objects, and a generic retrieval framework.
Abstract:
A lubrication boosting additive comprising a mixture of an organic titanium compound soluble in a solvent, an organic solvent for the organic titanium compound, and a phthalic ester. The additive is used in combination with lubricating oils to improve load bearing capacity and wear resistance. When added to lubricating oil, the additive is used in an amount of from 0.1 to 10 g, calculated as the organic titanium compound, per liter of the lubricating oil.
Abstract:
A recording material moving device comprises: a position adjuster that moves a recording material in a direction which is parallel to a recording surface of the recording material and orthogonal to a transporting direction, in an upstream side of a recording position along the transport direction of the recording material; a reference position specifying unit that specifies a reference position; a determination unit that determines whether a range of a predetermined width centered on the reference position exceeds a movable range of the recording material within which the recording material can be moved by the position adjuster; and a controller that causes, if the determination unit determines that the movable range is not exceeded, the position adjuster to sequentially move the recording material within the movable range of the predetermined width centered on the reference position each time a condition for moving the recording material is satisfied.

Abstract:
A resist composition of the present invention is obtained by dissolving a resin component (A) that displays changed alkali solubility under action of acid and an acid generator component (B) that generates acid upon exposure in an organic solvent (S), wherein the organic solvent (S) includes an aromatic organic solvent (S1). According to the present invention, a resist composition and a method of forming a resist pattern, in which the level of LWR is reduced, can be provided.
Abstract:
A pattern-forming method, including: forming a first resist film by applying a first chemically amplified resist composition onto a support, forming a plurality of resist patterns by selectively exposing and then developing the first resist film, forming a plurality of coated patterns by forming a coating film composed of a metal oxide film on the surface of each resist pattern, forming a second resist film by applying a second chemically amplified resist composition onto the support having the coated patterns formed thereon, and selectively exposing and then developing the second resist film, thereby forming a pattern composed of the plurality of coated patterns and a resist pattern formed in the second resist film onto the support.
