The production liner comprises a casing valve having a port and a moveable member. Abstract: A technique facilitates formation of a gravel pack in a wellbore. Gravel slurry is delivered downhole to a desired gravel packing zone located along an annulus surrounding a gravel packing completion. Dehydration of the gravel pack is facilitated by providing a return flow path for a carrier fluid along drainage layers of adjacent screen assemblies. The drainage layers of adjacent screen assemblies are coupled by drainage layer shunt tubes which bypass corresponding couplings between the adjacent screen assemblies. In some applications, the drainage layer shunt tubes facilitate delivery of the returning carrier fluid to a sliding sleeve assembly.

Abstract: A method comprising moving a shifting tool in a first direction through a moveable member positioned in a casing of a wellbore, including moving the shifting tool through a shifting tool interface member (STIM) adjacent the moveable member, until the shifting tool is positioned past the moveable member and the STIM. The shifting tool is then moved in a second direction substantially opposite the first direction until the shifting tool and the STIM engage. The shifting tool is then further moved in the second direction, thereby moving the STIM and the moveable member in the second direction, until the STIM substantially simultaneously (1) engages the casing and (2) disengages the shifting tool.

Abstract: A completion string includes at least one isolation packer positioned between well zones of a plurality of well zones, and a sand control assembly and a circulating assembly each disposed uphole of a washdown shoe in the bottom-most well zone. A top well zone includes a return valve assembly, a production packer, and a second circulating assembly and a second sand control assembly downhole of the production packer. The completion string also includes an outer string spanning from the bottom-most well zone to the top well zone, and an inner production string concentrically arranged within the outer string, creating an inner-annulus between the outer string and inner production string. The inner-annulus is continuous from the washdown shoe to the return valve assembly, and the inner production string includes a production valve disposed between the sand control assembly and the circulating assembly in each of the bottom-most and top well zones.

Abstract: A technique facilitates performance of a gravel packing operation and desired zonal isolation. An apparatus, e.g. a sliding sleeve shunt tube isolation valve, may be deployed downhole and configured to facilitate a gravel packing operation and zonal isolation. By way of example, the apparatus contains a conduit which in an open position allows the flow of gravel pack slurry and in a closed position creates a barrier. In the closed position, upper and lower portions of the conduit are isolated from one another. When the apparatus is coupled with a packer and sand screens, the apparatus serves to create complete zonal isolation in, for example, an open hole alternate path system.
