Abstract:
A method and apparatus to control interference in a relay node are provided and include simultaneously receiving a symbol from source nodes, adjusting channel coefficients; and relaying the symbol to destination nodes with adjusted channel coefficients. The simultaneously receiving and the relaying are performed during a symbol transmission process between the source and destination nodes.
Abstract:
A communication method of an access point (AP) for retransmission of a multicast packet in a network including the AP and terminals, includes selecting a candidate terminal to be used to retransmit the multicast packet, from the terminals, and retransmitting the multicast packet, using the candidate terminal.
Abstract:
A method of controlling interference of relay nodes and node pairs in a multi-hop network, includes relaying signals received from source nodes among the node pairs to destination nodes pairing with the source nodes, and cancelling a part of interference signals between the node pairs by controlling channel coefficients of the relay nodes. The destination nodes are configured to cancel residual interference signals among the interference signals, using the signals received by the destination nodes.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus to manage interference between idle devices is provided. The method may include determining a pair of a target transmission node and a target reception node among nodes included in a multi-hop network. The method includes determining idle devices cooperating to manage interference in the communication based on a transmission mode determined for communication. The method determines and transmitting coordination information for communication between the pair of the target transmission node and the target reception node, to nodes participating in the communication and the cooperating idle devices.
Abstract:
A communication method and a communication apparatus in which a transmission terminal transmits packets to at least one reception terminal, a reception terminal overhears requests for lost packets from other reception terminals and determines whether another request for lost packets is to be transmitted, and the transmission terminal determines whether to respond to requests for lost packets based on additional packets multicast to the reception terminals, rather than simply responding to all requests for lost packets from the reception terminals.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting secret information in a transmitting end and a method of receiving secret information at a receiving end, based on multi-input multi-output (MIMO) multiplexing using antennas, are provided. The method of transmitting includes selecting one or more indices of the secret information that correspond to at least one receiving antenna among receiving antennas, and mapping the one or more indices to an information vector. The method of transmitting further includes precoding the information vector based on channel information between transmitting antennas and the receiving antennas, and beamforming the precoded information vector, using the transmitting antennas.
Abstract:
Provided are a base station and a plurality of member nodes for transmitting and receiving network coding based multicast traffic. The base station may transmit multicast traffic, and the member node may transmit an acknowledgement (ACK) signal based on received multicast traffic. A determination made be made as to whether the multicast traffic is to be retransmitted, based on a number of member nodes transmitting ACK signals.
Abstract:
A cooperative communication system is provided. The cooperative communication system includes a transmitter that generates a codeword from data blocks based on a long message encoding scheme, and multicasts a signal including the codeword; relays, each relay configured to receive the multicasted signal, encode the multicasted signal using a encoding scheme independent from encoding schemes of other relays to generate a random-mapped signal of the data blocks, and relay the random-mapped signal of the data blocks; and a receiver that receives signals relayed by the relays, and generates the data blocks from the signals based on a joint decoding scheme.
Abstract:
A method of secure communication in a transmitter, includes determining a method of generating a training sequence that is shared with a receiver. The method further includes generating the training sequence based on the method of generating the training sequence, and secret information. The method further includes communicating with the receiver based on channel information derived from the training sequence.
Abstract:
A radio transceiver and corresponding method include a transmission unit configured to transmit an uplink signal to a base station. A receiving unit is configured to receive a relay signal, which comprises the uplink signal and a downlink signal received from the base station. An extraction unit is configured to extract the downlink signal from the relay signal based on the uplink signal.
