Abstract:
A method of multi-hop cooperative communication includes recognizing a plurality of relays capable of cooperating with one another to amplify or quantize and forward mixed signals received from a plurality of different nodes, selecting a transmission mode from a direct mode for transmission from a base station directly and a cooperation mode for transmission from the base station via the plurality of relays, transmitting data from the base station directly to a terminal through a first radio resource in the direct mode in response to the selected transmission mode being the direct mode, and transmitting data from the base station to the terminal via the plurality of relays through a second radio resource in the cooperation mode in response to the selected transmission mode being the cooperation mode.
Abstract:
Provided is a method and system for relaying data using a plurality of relay nodes. The method may include obtaining a first channel matrix related to a first-hop channel and a second channel matrix related to a second-hop channel, generating an effective interference channel matrix based on the first channel matrix and the second channel matrix, and calculating a null space vector of the effective interference channel matrix.

Abstract:
A multiple multicast network system and method for ensuring reliability in such a network are provided. A multiple multicast method in a multiple multicast network system may include grouping terminals having data to be transmitted to each other in a group. The method transmits, by each of the terminals in the group, data of each of the terminals to the other terminals in the group. In response to receiving the data, the method provides, to the terminals in the group, as feedback, missing packet information, and generates, by a terminal among the terminals in the group, a secondary network-coded packet by performing network coding based on a successfully received packet and data of each of the terminal, and transmits the secondary network-coded packet to the other terminals in the group based on the missing packet information.
Abstract:
Provided is a method and a terminal for a multi-hop network. The method includes determining whether channel information is necessary to transmit data processed based on a transmission scheme used in the multi-hop network and outputting a result indicative thereof. The method includes configuring channel information based on the transmission scheme, based on the result. The method further includes transmitting the configured channel information and the data processed using the configured channel information.
Abstract:
A scheduling method and a scheduling apparatus based on physical layer network coding for bidirectional traffic are provided. The method includes setting up paths passing through a node to perform the physical layer network coding of the bidirectional traffic of sessions that pass through the node. The method further includes requesting, from neighboring nodes of the node, information to be used to schedule the sessions for the physical layer network coding. The method further includes scheduling the sessions for the physical layer network coding based on a queue differential of each session that is calculated based on the information, and a rate of each link of each session.
Abstract:
A source node includes a topology information extractor configured to acquire information of a channel state between nodes included in a multicast network, and extract topology information of the multicast network. The source node further includes a relay node selector configured to select, from the nodes, a relay node to relay a packet transmitted from the source node, based on the topology information.
Abstract:
A communication method of an access point (AP) for retransmission of a multicast packet in a network including the AP and terminals, includes selecting a candidate terminal to be used to retransmit the multicast packet, from the terminals, and retransmitting the multicast packet, using the candidate terminal.
Abstract:
A communication method and a communication apparatus in which a transmission terminal transmits packets to at least one reception terminal, a reception terminal overhears requests for lost packets from other reception terminals and determines whether another request for lost packets is to be transmitted, and the transmission terminal determines whether to respond to requests for lost packets based on additional packets multicast to the reception terminals, rather than simply responding to all requests for lost packets from the reception terminals.
