Abstract:
The present invention proposes a method for activating secondary carriers in addition to the primary carrier in a wireless communication system supporting carrier aggregation technology. Through the present invention, the UE sorts the operations for activating an SCell into two groups that are executed at different timings, thereby facilitating communication without malfunctioning.
Abstract:
A method for avoiding interference in an idle mode and a method for receiving a public warning system message regardless of an operation mode when different wireless communication modules coexist in a terminal in a wireless communication system are provided. The method for controlling an idle mode of a terminal in a wireless communication system includes determining whether interference occurs between heterogeneous communication modules of the terminal; and limiting, if the interference occurs between the heterogeneous communication modules, camping on a corresponding frequency of the communication module in which the interference occurs. The terminal can maximally avoid the interference in the idle mode to operate without malfunction, and correctly receive the public warning system message regardless of the operation mode to enable the user to timely receive the corresponding message.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a method for cell reselection in a wireless communication system in which various radio access technologies (RATs) coexist with each other. In a wireless communication system in which heterogeneous networks coexist with each other, the method of cell reselection between heterogeneous networks for a user equipment may include: receiving a system information block (SIB) containing cell reselection parameters from a corresponding base station; checking whether cell reselection parameters based on a cell selection quality value (Squal) are configured in the received SIB; and performing, when cell reselection parameter based on Squal are not configured, cell reselection based on a cell selection receive level value (Srxlev). The present disclosure may prevent the user equipment from performing unnecessary cell reselection.
Abstract:
The present disclosure proposes a method for transmitting a buffer status report informing of the data to be transmit in uplink. The method for transmitting buffer status report of a terminal in a wireless communication system includes checking, when allocating uplink resource for new data transmission, whether first buffer status report triggered but not cancelled exists, generating, when the first buffer status report exists, uplink data including the buffer status report, checking whether second buffer status report triggered but not cancelled exist except for the buffers status report included in the uplink data, and determining whether to cancel the second buffer status report depending on whether the first buffer status report is a regular buffer status report or periodic buffer status report. With the proposed method, the terminal is capable of transmitting the padding BSR without extra cancellation operation, resulting in reduction terminal's operation complexity.
Abstract:
Methods for performing a random access procedure by a terminal and a base station in a wireless communication system, a terminal, and a base station are provided. The method for performing a random access procedure by a terminal in a wireless communication system includes selecting a physical random access channel (PRACH) resource from one or more PRACH resources; transmitting, to a base station, a random access preamble based on the selected PRACH resource; identifying a random access radio network temporary identifier (RA-RNTI) based on information associated with the selected PRACH resource, wherein the information includes identity information for an uplink used for the random access preamble transmission; and monitoring a control channel for a random access response (RAR) based on the RA-RNTI.
Abstract:
The present specification relates to a communication method and apparatus. The communication method for a base station (P-ENB) that controls a primary cell (PCell) of user equipment (UE) according to one embodiment of the present specification comprises the steps of: receiving a packet from a serving gateway through a non-primary (NP)-evolved packet system (EPS) bearer for a serving cell of a non-P-ENB base station (NP-ENB); generating a first radio link control packet data unit (RLC PDU) using the received packet; and transmitting the generated first RLC PDU to the NP-ENB.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for performing a discontinuous reception (DRX) operation while transceiving data using a plurality of carriers in a mobile communication system. The communication method for a terminal according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: receiving a control message, including setting information of a secondary serving cell (SCell) to be added and discontinuous reception setting information, from a primary serving cell (PCell); and applying, if the control message includes an indicator indicating that the first base station to which the SCell to be added belongs and the second base station to which the PCell belongs are different from each other, the DRX setting information to the serving cell of a first base station. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a discontinuous reception (DRX) operation is applied upon the occurrence of inter-base-station carrier aggregation, thus reducing the consumption of a battery.

Abstract:
The present invention involves defining the operation of a terminal for determining which time alignment timer is to be applied to a certain condition when specific time alignment timers operate for each carrier-wave group in the event a wireless communication system uses a carrier aggregation technique. According to the present invention, a terminal may perform communication without malfunctions using a time alignment timer suitable for a certain condition. A method for a terminal to operate a time alignment timer according to the present invention comprises the steps of: operating a first time alignment timer for a first timing advance group (TAG) including a first cell; operating a second time alignment timer upon receipt of a timing advance command for a second TAG that does not include the first cell; and, if the first time alignment timer has expired, deeming the second time alignment timer to also be expired.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for transmitting and receiving measurement information in a mobile communication system. A terminal transmits a connection request message to a network and reports to the network, connection failure-related measurement information when a registered public land mobile network (RPLMN) included in a connection setup message received from the network corresponds to a pre-stored and selected public land mobile network (PLMN) and the connection failure-related measurement information stored with the selected PLMN is available.
