Abstract:
Disclosed are shutter glasses capable of automatically changing brightness according to image characteristics and allowing a viewer to adjust brightness and a color temperature according to his preference, a method for adjusting light characteristics of the shutter glasses, and a display system employing the same. The shutter glasses adaptive to be used for a three-dimensional (3D) display device. The shutter glasses include: a pair of shutter liquid crystal panels prepared to correspond to user's left and right eyes; and a controller configured to turn on and off the shutter liquid crystal panels at a certain frequency and control light transmittance of the shutter liquid crystal panels by a gamma voltage corresponding to a certain level control signal.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) operation of a connected User Equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system are provided. For a packet service, adjusting an active period length according to the requirements of traffic at a reception time provides a DRX operation. Also, the UE enters into a sleep mode after confirming successful reception of packets including retransmission packets and sending an RLC ACK signal for the packets.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting/receiving scheduling channels in a wireless communication system supporting spectrum scalability are provided, in which scheduling bandwidth of a User Element (UE) is determined, scheduling information including index information indicating resources allocated to the UE, transport format information about data to be transmitted to the UE, and Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) information is configured if a scheduling bandwidth of the UE is equal to a system bandwidth, the scheduling information is divided into first scheduling information and second scheduling information, and each of the first scheduling information and the second scheduling information is mapped to scheduling resources corresponding to a frequency band adjacent to a center frequency of the system bandwidth and having a bandwidth equal to a minimum bandwidth of the UE, and transmitted to the UE.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for supporting a voice service through a radio channel in a mobile telecommunication system are provided, wherein the method includes the steps of determining a voice codec mode, byte-alignment information about a byte-alignment scheme of a voice packet, a requested bandwidth and a codec type used for processing a voice call in a procedure of establishing a call between a terminal and a core network, forming a packet data protocol context establishing message including the codec type, the byte-alignment information and the voice codec mode in order to establish a bearer for a packet call, and transmitting the formed packet data protocol context establishing message to the core network from the terminal. The method further includes the steps of transmitting a radio bearer establishing message from an access network to the terminal, the radio bearer establishing message including a radio link packet size set determined based on the codec type, the byte-alignment information and the voice codec mode, the access network connecting the terminal with the core network.
Abstract:
Provided are a metal line, a method of forming the same, and a display using the same. To increase resistance of a metal line having a multilayered structure of CuO/Cu and prevent blister formation, a plasma treatment is performed using a nitrogen-containing gas and a silicon-containing gas or using a hydrogen or argon as and the silicon-containing gas. Accordingly, a plasma treatment layer such as a SiNx or Si layer is thinly formed on the copper layer, thereby preventing an increase in resistance of the copper layer and also preventing blister formation caused by the damage of a copper oxide layer. Consequently, it is possible to improve the reliability of a copper line and thus enhance the reliability of a device.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for minimizing data forwarding between Evolved Node Bs (ENBs) during a handover. A User Equipment (UE) sends a status report to an ENB of a source cell immediately before the handover occurs. In this manner, a target cell avoids retransmission of the RLC PDUs, which were successfully transmitted but have not yet been ACKnowledged (ACKed) by the UE, thereby minimizing the amount of data being forwarded from the ENB of the source cell to an ENB of the target cell.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for estimating the radio link status between all MS and a BS in a wireless communication system are provided, in which the MS and the BS make the same decision as to the radio link status. The method and apparatus provide a radio link status estimation procedure suitable for a Packet-Switched network system. Thus, when each of an MS and a BS detects errors in its radio link status, it notifies the other party of the poor radio link status, thereby preventing an unnecessary MS or BS operation and saving radio resources.
Abstract:
A method for resetting a MAC-hs (Medium Access Control-high speed) layer entity in a communication system using HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access). When an RLC (Radio Link Control) layer entity is reset due to occurrence a protocol error, the system resets both a MAC-hs layer entity of the RLC layer entity and its counterpart RLC, thus preventing unnecessary data transmission.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a core network separation structure and a signal processing method between separated elements. In particular, an SGSN is divided into an SGSN server for control operations and an S-MGW for switching packet data, and a GGSN is divided into a GGSN server for control operations and a G-MGW for switching packet data. Signaling interfaces interface between the separated elements, SGSN server and S-MGW and between the GGSN server and the G-MGW.
Abstract:
A multiple antenna wireless communication system using a DPD power amplifier and a method for controlling an amplitude of an input signal for a plurality of transmission paths of the DPD power amplifier are provided. The system includes a plurality of amplifiers, a plurality of couplers, a switch, a shared feedback path and a plurality of processors. The plurality of amplifiers amplifies an input signal directed to each of the transmission paths. The plurality of couplers couple amplified signals on respective transmission paths. The switch outputs at least one of the amplified signals coupled on the respective transmission paths. The shared feedback path provides the amplified signal output from the switch to a plurality of processors. The plurality of processors compare a feedback signal provided through the shared feedback path with the input signal and pre-distort the input signal such that the input signal and the amplified signal have a linear relation with each other.
