Abstract: A communication device includes a receiver, a transmitter and a control circuit. The receiver is configured to receive, from an infrastructure equipment of a mobile communications network, downlink signals on a downlink via a wireless access interface of the mobile communications network. The transmitter is configured to transmit, to the infrastructure equipment, uplink signals on an uplink via the wireless access interface. The control circuit is configured to control the receiver to receive the downlink signals and control the transmitter to transmit the uplink signals. The control circuit is further configured to delay a reception period for the receiver to receive the downlink signals after a transmission period in which the transmitter transmits the uplink signals when a duration of the transmission period exceeds a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: A communications device transmits data in preconfigured resources of an uplink of a wireless communications network by performing a procedure to determine whether the communications device can transmit signals in the preconfigured resources of the uplink, and if the communications device determines that it can transmit signals in the preconfigured resources, transmitting signals representing the data in the preconfigured resources. The procedure to determine whether the communications device can transmit signals in the preconfigured resources of the uplink includes a transmission parameter confirmation procedure which confirms that a value of one or more transmission parameters to be used for transmitting the signals representing the data can be used for the signals representing the data to be detected by an infrastructure equipment of the wireless communications network.

Mode switching between the modes is performed autonomously by the user equipment (10) or under the control of a cellular network node. The user equipment (10) has a first power consumption when operating in the first mode and a second power consumption when operating in the second mode, the second power consumption being different from the first power consumption.

Abstract: A method of operating a network access node in a wireless telecommunications system comprising the network access node and a terminal device, wherein the method comprises: establishing that a downlink message, e.g. a paging message, for the terminal device to decode is going to be transmitted by the network access node; and transmitting wake-up signalling to the terminal device in advance of transmitting the downlink message to provide the terminal device with an indication the downlink message for the terminal device is going to be transmitted, wherein the wake-up signalling comprises an indication of an amount of synchronisation signalling for use by the terminal device to achieve radio synchronisation with the network access node, wherein the amount of synchronisation signalling depends on an amount of time elapsed since the terminal device was previously radio synchronised to the network access node.

Abstract: Location of an electronic device is determined using signals received from a first set of reference radios. Abstract: The invention is directed to systems, methods, and computer program products for determining timing relationships of pilot and data in mobile network communications. Specifically, an uplink (UL) transmission is received at a base station (BS) from a user equipment (UE) in network communication with the BS via a communication channel. Based on the UL transmission, a channel coherence time is determined indicating a period of time during which the communication channel is considered to be substantially unchanged. In response, a total transmission duration is determined based on the channel coherence time indicating a period of time associated with transmission of a data frame.

Abstract: A node (100) of a cellular network selects a first modulation scheme setting for a first radio link to a first device (10′). The first modulation scheme setting is selected from a set of modulation scheme settings, each identified by at least one corresponding index. On the basis of a mapping of each of the indices to a corresponding set of transmission parameters, the node (100) identifies a first set of link parameters mapped to the index corresponding to the selected first modulation scheme setting. The node (100) then configures the first radio link according to the identified first set of link parameters. Further, the node (100) selects a second modulation scheme setting for a second radio link to a second device (10).
