摘要: This invention provides a process for producing biodiesel fuel from vegetable or animal oils and fats or wastes thereof and methanol that does not use a catalyst and does not generate glycerin as a by-product. In this process, vegetable or animal oils and fats or wastes thereof are mixed with methanol, and a methanolysis reaction is carried out at a reaction temperature of between 370° C. and 500° C., a reaction pressure of between 20 MPa and 60 MPa, and a reaction period of between 4 minutes and 12 minutes without the use of a catalyst. This invention also provides biodiesel fuel that is mainly composed of fatty acid methyl esters, monoacylglycerol, and diacylglycerol.

摘要: To cope with accidental impact inflicted upon an optical pickup unit when the unit moves beyond a prescribed range, resin support members integrally formed with the chassis of a traverse unit and supporting the ends of main and sub guide rails at a prescribed distance are provided on the chassis, so that the impact caused by the collision against the support members for the guide rails is absorbed. Buffer members integrally formed with the support members adjacent to the center and upright perpendicularly to the chassis are provided at least between the support members for the main guide rail, so that the impact upon the optical pickup unit is absorbed.

摘要: An image displaying apparatus stores plural image data and displays one of the image data, which image data represent a growing plant (animal) or represent a series of motions of an animal. The apparatus further stores plural element data for growing the plant (animal). When one of the element data is selected, another image data of the plant (animal) is displayed in place of the previously displayed imaged data to show how the plant (animal) grew up responsive to the selected element data. The apparatus is provided with a sensor for detecting motion of a user. Detecting the motion of the user, the apparatus displays new image data representing a motion of the animal in place of the previously displayed image data to show how the animal reacts to the user's motion.

摘要: An electronic device system has an electronic device including at least one pair of an identifier and a validity flag. Identifier information and condition are registered into the identifier within the electronic device. When an access is made to the electronic device using an ordinary command, no response will be made since the validity flag is “irresponsive”. An identifier is transmitted to the electronic device using an identifier control command and if the condition is satisfied, the validity flag is set to be “responsive”, and thus operation to the electronic device becomes executable hereinafter. If the condition is not satisfied, the validity flag is set to be “irresponsive”, and thus no response will be made by the electronic device.
