摘要： A blood pressure measuring apparatus having an inflatable cuff including a first inflatable bag adapted to be worn on a body portion of a living subject so as to exclude blood from an artery located in the body portion, and a second inflatable bag adapted to be worn on the body portion, on a distal side of a middle portion of the first inflatable bag, so as to detect a pulse wave produced from the artery, a first piping which is connected to the first inflatable bag, a second piping which is branched from the first piping and is connected to the second inflatable bag, a pump which supplies an inflating fluid to the first and second inflatable bags via the first and second pipings, respectively, a blood pressure determining device which determines a blood pressure of the subject based on the pulse wave detected through the second inflatable bag when a pressing pressure of the first inflatable bag is changed, and a switching device which is provided in the second piping and which selectively switches the second piping to a connected state in which the second piping is connected to the first piping and to a disconnected state in which the second piping is disconnected from the first piping.

摘要： In each of the information processing apparatuses connected to each other via a network, there is arranged a quality of service (QOS) table to which functions and performance thereof are registered. When an information processing apparatus is additionally linked with the network, a QOS table thereof is automatically registered to a local directory of the network such that an agent converts the contents of the QOS table into service information to be supplied via a user interface to the user. Thanks to the operation, information of functions and performance of each information processing apparatus connected to the network is converted into service information for the user. Consequently, the user can much more directly receive necessary services.

摘要： An apparatus for measuring a blood pressure of a living subject, including a blood pressure measuring device which measures a blood pressure value of the subject, a first memory which stores a plurality of blood pressure values measured by the blood pressure measuring device, in an order of measurement of the blood pressure values, a pulse wave detecting device which detects a pulse wave produced from an arterial vessel of the subject in synchronism with heartbeat of the subject while each of the blood pressure values is measured by the blood pressure measuring device, a second memory which stores a waveform of the pulse wave detected by the pulse wave detecting device, in the order, the second memory storing the respective waveforms of the pulse waves each of which is detected by the pulse wave detecting device while a corresponding one of the blood pressure values is measured by the blood pressure measuring device, and an output device which outputs the blood pressure values stored in the first memory, in the order, and a plurality of curves respectively representing the waveforms stored in the second memory, in the order, in a side-by-side relation with each other.

摘要： A graphic system which includes a display device having a graphic display area which includes a plurality of display portions and a plurality of one-chip semiconductor integrated circuit devices. Each one-chip semiconductor integrated circuit includes memory for storing a plurality of pixel data, each pixel data includes a plurality of bits and color data, and a logic circuit for carrying out logic operation on a unit of one pixel data read out from the memory based on a function signal supplied to the one-chip semiconductor integrated circuit device. The function signal indicates a relation between the unit of one pixel data read out from the memory and pixel data output by the logic circuit. The invention further includes an external device for supplying the function signal to the one-chip semiconductor integrated circuit device. The logic circuits, of the plurality of one-chip semiconductor integrated circuit devices, each carry out the same logic operation in accordance with the function signal. Further the logic circuit of the one-chip semiconductor integrated circuit device outputs pixel data based on the logic operation carried out by the logic circuit so as to display the pixel data from the logic circuit on one of the display portions of the graphic display area of the display device.
