摘要: A plurality of to-be-evaluated lenses that differ in lens surface design from one another is prepared in an evaluation-value calculating step. Thereafter, a subject's predetermined biological information, e.g., brain waves, is measured for each of the to-be-evaluated lenses by allowing the subject to wear each of the lenses, and an evaluation value for each of the lenses is calculated relative to a predetermined index in the brain waves, for example, relative to a “state of being under stress.” Thereafter, a correlation between the calculated evaluation value and a lens surface shape is calculated as an index characteristic in a lens-surface-shape determining step. Thereafter, a lens surface shape of a suitable spectacle lens in the index is determined based on the index characteristic, and the lens surface shape is fed back as a shape of a to-be-evaluated lens of the evaluation-value calculating step.

摘要: An electronically controlled transmission in which a single drive motor is used to drive a shift shaft, in which shift shock is reduced during continuous running. The transmission has a shift shaft, an actuator, a gear box and a control portion. The actuator causes the shift shaft to rotate. The gear box includes a gear shift mechanism, a clutch mechanism, and a crank case that houses the gear shift mechanism and the clutch mechanism. The gear shift mechanism is activated in association with rotation of the shift shaft. The clutch mechanism connects and disconnects transmission of power to the gear shift mechanism from the engine in association with rotation of the shift shaft. The control portion controls the actuator based on the temperature of the gear box.

摘要: An indicator device includes a light emitting element for emitting light, and a light conducting plate having a light incidence surface for conducting light from the light emitting element inside thereof and a light output surface, for a lighted indication by the light output surface. The light conducting plate has a triangular recess recessed to form with prescribed recess depths in one planer surface thereof, for light from the light emitting element to be reflected in part. The triangular recess has a recess extremity constituting a single vertex disposed in position on an optical axis of the light emitting element and nearer to the light incidence surface than other end parts thereof. The recess depths becomes shallower as the V-form recess extends from the recess extremity, allowing for an evenness of luminance of light over the light output surface formed on the light conducting plate.

摘要: A radio switching system includes a mobile subscriber; a base station controller for controlling a transmission and reception of a signal of the mobile subscriber within an own cell; a mobile switching center connecting with a plurality of the base station controllers; and a home location register for storing home zone information whether or not the mobile subscriber is a subscriber of home zone services. The mobile switching center judges whether or not a registration is accepted with respect to a location registration request inside/outside a home zone of the mobile subscriber, based on home zone information sent from the home location register.

摘要: A method of producing a magnetic recording medium includes forming a underlayer on a base, and successively forming, on the underlayer, a first magnetic layer, a nonmagnetic coupling layer and a second magnetic layer. The first and second magnetic layers are exchange-coupled via the nonmagnetic coupling layer and have antiparallel magnetizations in a state where no external magnetic field is applied on the magnetic recording medium. The underlayer is made of Cr or a Cr alloy having a bcc crystal structure within an atmosphere including nitrogen gas.
