    摘要: A sound producing apparatus with multi-directivity has two or more speakers to produce music or other types of audio sounds. Each of the speakers can produce audio sounds in a certain direction and at least one speaker is steerable so that its sound propagation direction relative to the others can be changed. Furthermore, one or more speakers can produce audio sounds in an adjustable angular range. One or more of the speakers can be dual-mode speakers, each of which can be operated as a wide-angle speaker or a narrow-angle speaker. With multi-directivity, it is possible to play one type of music in one direction and another type of music in another direction to suit the interests of the audience. The apparatus can be a mobile phone, an audio player, a digital or analog recorder/player, or the like.

For example, the media playing pipeline includes one or more components synchronized for media playing. A reference component in the media playing pipeline is selected, the reference component having a component performance level. A pipeline performance level of the media playing pipeline is determined. When the pipeline performance level is higher than a threshold, the component performance level of the reference component is adjusted to decrease the pipeline performance level. When the pipeline performance level is lower than the threshold, the component performance level of the reference component is adjusted to increase the pipeline performance level.

    摘要: Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a self-aligned metal oxide thin film transistor. According to the present invention, a metal oxide semiconductor layer having a high carrier concentration is formed, and then a channel region which is self-aligned with a gate electrode is oxidized by a plasma having oxidbillity so that the channel region has a low carrier concentration and the source and drain regions have high carrier concentrations while the resulting transistor has a self-aligned structure. In addition, the threshold voltage of the transistor is controlled by the conditions under which the channel region of the transistor is subsequently oxidized by plasma having oxidbillity at a low temperature. Therefore, the controllability of the characteristics of the transistor is improved significantly, and the manufacturing process is simplified.

    摘要: A distortion compensation circuit compensates for distortion generated by one or more non-linear elements such as a laser device and/or an optical fiber and may include a primary signal path for carrying an input signal and a secondary signal paths for generating distortion. The distortion compensation circuit may also include a controllable phase inverters and a tunable filter. For example, the secondary signal path may include a distortion generator to produce distortion products from the input signal and a signal controlled phase inverter that inverts the phase of the distortion products and a tunable filter that adjusts the phase of the frequency dependent distortion. The phase inversion and tunable filter may be controlled in response to control signals generated based on one or more parameters such as, for example, laser power, input RF channel loading, temperature, and fiber length.
