摘要: A plug-and-socket connector having a conductor track structure provided with electrical components, and a method of producing the same.Known plug-and-socket connectors in which a conductor track structure is formed from a metal band can only be embodied with a space-saving design at high cost, and nevertheless have a large structural height. It is very costly to provide such a plug-and-socket connector with components for realizing electrical functions. A design that saves more space, and a smaller structural height, are possible with a plug-and-socket connector having a conductor track structure that is planar and has a window-shaped opening, which is adjoined perpendicularly in one direction by a plug region that receives both the first plug and the second plug inserted from the opposite direction through the window-shaped opening of the conductor track structure. Pin-like tongues are bent, as connecting pins, into the plug region and preferably fixed, with the bent connecting pins and the conductor track structure, by a plastic injection-molded part. Socket contacts for pin-shaped contacting elements at the plugs are disposed in the plug region in insulation chambers and connected to the conductor track structure. Application of such a plug-and-socket connector for an ignition device of airbag systems in motor vehicles.

摘要: A process and a circuit control a control unit of a system for protecting vehicle occupants, with a view toward triggering the protection system if the accident is sufficiently serious. The control unit contains one or more sensors which supply sensor signals during the accident, and it contains a computing unit. During the accident, the latter establishes one ACTUAL value or a plurality of different ACTUAL values characterizing the course of the accident on the basis of the sensor signals. It also automatically and continuously redefines a time-variable triggering threshold value in each case, which is namely directly or indirectly dependent on the changes in the sensor signals during the course of the accident. The computing unit compares one or more ACTUAL values with the triggering threshold value being respectively assigned to the ACTUAL value. However, on the basis of the progression of the ACTUAL value/ACTUAL values, it defines the triggering threshold value at any instant in such a way that it changes in a fluctuating manner at least during an accident phase, namely without delay in dependence on the instantaneous value of the ACTUAL value/ACTUAL values, even if during this accident phase there occur constantly major decelerations without the collision direction altering.

摘要: The safety of occupants in a vehicle is increased by avoiding an unnecessary deployment of a safety device, such as an air bag in the vehicle. For this purpose the trigger signal for deploying the safety device is generated either in response to a vehicle motion signal exceeding a high threshold level or in response to the vehicle motion signal exceeding a low threshold level as determined by a precrash signal (S1) followed by a crash signal (S2) preferably within a limited time duration (TMAX). For this purpose the signals (S1) and (S2) are logically linked and the resulting signal at the output of an AND-gate or at the output of a timing circuit determines whether the vehicle motion signal is compared with the high threshold level or with the low threshold level for generating the trigger or deployment signal (DS). Only when this double condition occurs, is the trigger threshold lowered for deploying the safety device. An optical sensor is preferably used as the crash signal generator.

摘要: The description relates to an abrasion-resistant carrier catalyst for removing the nitrite and/or nitrate content of polluted water with selective nitrogen formation. The catalytically active metal component is palladium and/or rhodium or palladium and a metal from the copper group. The carrier consists of aluminum oxide in the "theta" and "kappa" modification and has either one maximum pore diameter in the 70 to 150 nm (700 to 1500 .ANG.) range or two maxima in the 10 to 150 nm (100 to 1500 .ANG.) range. The description also relates to a continuously operable process for the removal or reduction of the oxygen, nitrite and/or nitrate content of water by catalytic hydrogenation. The process is implemented using the novel carrier catalysts, the carriers being made of aluminum oxide of the theta and kappa modifications. Contamination of the catalyst is effectively prevented by the preferred use according to the fluidized bed process.
