摘要: Electrolysis using a suitable electrolyte provides a completely nonsludging zinc phosphate conversion coating process that produces a high quality conversion coating in a very short time. The suitable electrolyte contains at least water, dissolved nitric acid, and dissolved zinc cations and optionally also contains m chemically distinct species of cations other than zinc and n chemically distinct species of anions other than anions derivable by ionization of phosphoric and nitric acids, each of m and n independently being zero or a positive integer. Preferably, the liquid composition contains as additive at least one selection from nitrous acid, permanganic acid, peroxysulfuric acid, hydrogen peroxide, chloric acid, perchloric acid, nitrobenzenesulfonic acid, hydroxylamine, starch/phosphoric acid esters, fluorine compounds, and salts of the preceding; and/or the metal substrate is subjected to cathodic electrolysis after the workpiece has been brought into contact with a weakly basic aqueous colloidal solution that contains titanium oxide, titanium hydroxide, and zinc phosphate.

摘要: The invention relates to a method of producing a high-monoester sucrose higher fatty acid ester with a monoester content of at least 90%. In accordance with this invention, a sucrose higher fatty acid ester which is actually a mixture of the corresponding monoester, diester, triester, etc. is dissolved in 1 to 12 parts by weight of a solvent having a specific inductive capacity, at 25.degree. C., of 30 to 50 at an elevated temperature, the precipitate formed on subsequent cooling is removed to recover a supernatant and the solvent is removed from the supernatant. In accordance with the invention, a high-monoester sucrose higher fatty acid ester can be produced easily and with good reproducibility.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a heat reflecting sandwich plate made up of a first and a second transparent plates bonded together with a transparent resin film. The first transparent plate is coated on the inside thereof with a heat reflecting film which is a laminate composed of two metal oxide layers, with a noble metal layer intervening between them. The noble metal layer has a sheet resistance of 4-10 ohms/square. The first and second metal oxide layers have thicknesses controlled such that their ratio is in the range of 1.1 to 1.6. The heat reflecting sandwich plate produces reflected rays which have a chromaticness specified by -1.ltoreq.a.ltoreq.1 and -1.ltoreq.b.ltoreq.1, where a and b denote the chromaticness indices of Hunter's color specification system, and has a visible light reflectivity lower than 10%. Because of these characteristic properties, the heat reflecting sandwich plate has high strength and safety, exhibits outstanding heat reflecting performance, and assumes almost no color and looks good despite its comparatively high visible light transmittance.

摘要: The bed device has load measurement means for generating a load signal; first computation means for computing a center-of-gravity variation or load variation on the basis of the load signal; first determination means for determining whether the computation result for the center-of-gravity variation or load variation is equal to or greater than a first threshold value; totaling means for totaling the number of times that the computation result is determined to be equal to or greater than the first threshold value; second computation means for multiplying the totaling results by coefficients for each time period and adding the results; and second determination means for determining a waking or sleeping state or determining a body movement or rest state of a user on the basis of whether a computation result of the second computation means is equal to or greater than a second threshold value. Movement of a user can thereby be monitored by using load information of a bed unit, and the waking state or body movement state of the bed user can be detected with high precision.
