The image capturing apparatus according to the present invention includes an object extracting section that extracts an object included in a captured image, a characteristic amount computing section that computes an amount of characteristic of the object based on the image with the object extracted from the object extracting section, a characteristic amount storing section that stores the amount of characteristic of the object computed from the characteristic amount computing section in association with object identification information identifying the object, a characteristic amount comparing section that compares an amount of characteristic of an object included in an image newly taken by an image capturing section and the amount of characteristic of the object stored on the characteristic amount storing section to compute a degree of coincidence of the objects, and an object identification information storing section that stores the object identification information stored on the characteristic amount storing section in association with the image newly taken by the image capturing section when it is judged that the degree of coincidence of the objects computed from the characteristic amount comparing section is not less than a predetermined reference value.

A process head for an electrophotographic apparatus is adapted to charge an electrophotographic film, expose the thus charged film to image light so as to form an image on the film, develop the thus formed image by means of a liquid developer in a developing section, and dry the film then fix the thus developed image. The processing head is capable of supplying a rinsing liquid to the developing section after the completion of the developing. Therefore, any liquid developer adhering to the developing section can be removed.

In the device, conductive members are disposed on both sides of a corona wire in the charging chamber to act as mating electrodes, and a mask in the form of a flexible film projects toward the opening of the chamber in such a manner as to make intimate contact with the electrophotosensitive member during charging.

By forming the register mark through light-beam scanning, it is possible to provide the photosensitive material with the register mark efficiently and reliably, so that the image can be transferred onto the recording material with high positional accuracy.

A developing apparatus wherein a developer is supplied to an exposed electrophotographic film to develop an image formed on the film has a developing section provided with an electrode which is disposed in opposing relation to the film. A bias voltage of the same polarity as that of the film which is electrically charged is applied to the electrode to prevent fogging of the image. The bias voltage is lowered or made opposite in polarity for a relatively short period of time, thereby momentarily improving the adhesion of the developer to the film, and thus allowing the developer to reliably adhere even to a relatively low density portion of the image.

A developing apparatus for bringing a film into contact with a frame portion which defines a developing chamber in such a manner that a surface of the film formed an electrostatic latent image is opposed to a developing electrode disposed in the developing chamber, and for developing the film under a liquid developer supplied to the developing chamber while applying a bias voltage to the developing electrode. The developing apparatus interrupts the application of the bias voltage to the developing electrode at the time of the contact. Consequently, discharge between the film and the developing electrode can be prevented at the time of the contact.
