    摘要: A transport stream encoder comprises a plurality of component signal sources. One of the component signals sources is a source of an opportunistic data component signal carrying a block of data having a predetermined size to be transferred within a predetermined period of time. A packet generator is coupled to the plurality of component signal sources, and produces a composite packet stream, partitioned into successive groups containing a plurality of packet slots. A memory stores a plurality of priority lists respectively associated with the plurality of packet slots. Each priority list contains a plurality of entries, and each entry contains data representing a respective one of the plurality of component signal sources. A scheduler is responsive to the entries in the plurality of priority lists and conditions the packet generator to generate a packet for each one of the packet slots. The generated packet contains data from a component signal source selected from among the component signal sources having representative data in the entries in the priority list associated with that packet slot. A processor modifies the entries in the plurality of priority lists in such a manner as to ensure that a packet containing data from the opportunistic data component signal source is generated with sufficient time regularity to guarantee that the block of data is transferred within the predetermined time period.

    摘要: A sparse digital adaptive equalizer including forward and feedback Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filters exhibits improved Least Mean Square operation. A switch assigns one of several multipliers of each filter to any one of the tap locations of that filter. Each multiplier is initially assigned to a preselected tap location with a predetermined weighting coefficient. After completing successive time cycles having a duration equal to a given number of data sample periods, for each filter there is determined (a) a first group of coefficients associated with multipliers then assigned to non-zero value tap locations, and (b) a second group of coefficients associated with multipliers then assigned to zero valued locations. Multipliers associated with first group coefficients during a just-completed time cycle retain their tap locations during the next time cycle. Multipliers associated with second group coefficients during a just-completed time cycle are reassigned to new tap locations for use during the next time cycle.

    摘要: A video decompression system includes block error concealment means for generating substitute data for lost blocks of pixel data. An interpolator generates both spatially and temporally interpolated or predicted blocks of data for concealing a lost block. Pixel data in the respective blocks of spatially and interpolated data are transformed to coefficients representing frequency spectra. A substitute block of coefficients is assembled from coefficients from both the transformed blocks, according to a predetermined criteria. The substitute block is transformed back to the spatial domain for substitution of lost pixel values.

    摘要: In a vertical sawtooth generator of a vertical deflection circuit, a first comparator generates an output signal when a retrace portion of a sawtooth signal is at a first magnitude to initiate a vertical trace portion of the sawtooth signal. An amplifier responsive to the sawtooth signal and to a reference signal generates a feedback current at a time that occurs between the center of vertical trace and the end of trace and away from the center of trace. The feedback current is determined in accordance with a difference between the sawtooth signal and the reference signal. The feedback current is coupled to a first capacitor to develop a gain control voltage. The control voltage is applied via a voltage-to-current converter to an integrating capacitor to develop in the integrating capacitor the trace portion of the sawtooth signal. The control voltage is initialized during a power start-up interval.
