摘要: A method for controlling an efuse circuit is provided. The method includes the following steps. A sample signal of a switch is provided. An error signal is generated according to the sample signal and a reference signal. The error signal is compared with a threshold. A voltage across a control node of the switch and an output node of the switch is clamped to a preset voltage value when the error signal is greater than the threshold.

摘要: A method and apparatus for estimating stress on capacitor is provided. A power converter may include an input terminal for receiving an input voltage, a power stage coupled to the input terminal, a capacitor coupled to the power stage, a controller configured to control the power stage to generate an output voltage at the capacitor as a function of the input voltage, and a stress monitor module. The stress monitor module is configured to determine a stress energy metric for the capacitor based on variations in the output voltage and identify a first fault condition based on the stress energy metric.

摘要: A protection device for a power converter provided between an AC system and a DC power transmission system is configured to: receive an input of an AC current value obtained between a transformer connected to the AC system and the power converter capable of converting AC power into DC power; receive an input of a change rate of a direct current detected by a Rogowski coil provided between a DC line and the power converter, the DC line receiving DC power from the power converter; determine based on the AC current value and the change rate whether a fault occurs or not in one of the power converter and the DC line; and output information for protecting the power converter based on a determination result.

摘要: An electric power system includes a direct voltage rail (101), battery elements (102-104) connected with supply-converters (105-107) to the direct voltage rail, and load-converters (111-113) for converting direct voltage of the direct voltage rail into voltages suitable for loads of the electric power system, where the supply-converters and the load-converters are connected with over-current protectors (108-110, 114-116) to the direct voltage rail. The electric power system further includes a capacitor system (117) connected to the direct voltage rail and capable of supplying fault current for switching an over-current protector into a non-conductive state in response to a fault causing a voltage drop at an electrical node connected to the direct voltage rail via the over-current protector. The capacitor system may include one or more high-capacitance electric double layer capacitors. The fault current available from the capacitor system enables a selective protection.

摘要: There is a method of fault clearance for a voltage source converter that interconnects a DC network and an AC network. The voltage source converter is connected to the DC network via one or more DC circuit interruption devices. The method comprises the steps of: (a) detecting a fault in the DC network; (b) carrying out a primary protection sequence, wherein the step of carrying out the primary protection sequence involves carrying out a first sub-sequence that includes the steps of: i. opening the or each DC circuit interruption device, ii. setting a DC power order of the voltage source converter to zero, iii. controlling the voltage source converter to exchange re-circuit breaker active power with the AC network.

摘要: System controller and method for protecting a power converter. The system controller includes a first controller terminal configured to output a drive signal to a switch to affect a first current flowing through a primary winding of a power converter. The power converter further includes a secondary winding coupled to the primary winding, and the drive signal is associated with one or more switching periods. Additionally, the system controller includes a second controller terminal configured to receive a sensing voltage from a sensing resistor. The sensing voltage represents a magnitude of the first current flowing through the primary winding of the power converter. The system controller is configured to process information associated with the sensing voltage and a reference voltage, and determine whether an average output current of the power converter is larger than a current threshold.
