The present disclosure is related to a system for manufacturing an article. The system includes a first mold half and a second mold half. The first mold half and the second mold half define a molding cavity therebetween. The molding cavity is configured to receive two outer layers and a high viscosity material provided between the two outer layers. The system also includes an actuator configured to move at least one of the first mold half and the second mold half towards the other. The first mold half and the second mold half are configured to deform the high viscosity material in conformation with a shape of the article. The high viscosity material fills a space between the two outer layers such that the two outer layers encase the high viscosity material therebetween.

A method of forming a polymer concrete CNG tank by forming an inflatable liner member composed of high density polymer impermeable to CNG; providing column forms as part of the liner member, the column forms having open tops and open bottoms and extending completely through the liner member; providing an outer form; positioning the liner member within the outer form with the column forms vertically oriented, the liner member being positioned to provide a gap between the liner member and the outer form; inflating the liner member; pouring polymer concrete about the liner member and through the column forms; and allowing the polymer concrete to cure. Reinforcement members may be positioned around the liner member and within the column forms prior to the step of pouring the polymer concrete.

A railway sleeper comprising a body having a top face on which railway rails are located and a bottom face for placement on a ground surface. The body is formed from a plurality of fibre composite sandwich panels plus a polymer concrete comprising an amount of polymer resin and an amount of filler. Each sandwich panel has a pair of fibre composite skins with a structural core material located therebetween. The fibre composite sandwich panels extend longitudinally within said body.

An apparatus is disclosed that includes a printer cartridge having a cartridge barrel for containing print material, an extruder having a nozzle and a lever arm, the lever arm including a plunger, the plunger having an inlet port, and a pneumatic system including a pneumatic piston, a solenoid valve and a Y-connector, wherein the pneumatic piston is configured to receive pressurized air from (1) the Y-connector to lower the lever arm to align the inlet port with an entry point of the extruder enabling print material to flow into the extruder through the inlet port, and (2) the solenoid valve to raise the lever arm to misalign the inlet port and the entry point to prevent additional print material to flow into the extruder. The apparatus further includes a build platform, and a plurality of rods and screws for guiding the extruder to dispense print material on the build platform.

The molding tool can facilitate molding of a countertop having at least one seamless curved edge and/or an at least partially seamless sink portion.
