Abstract:
A cable bead comprising an annular core and a side wire spirally wrapped up around the annular core, wherein the annular core is made up of a round steel wire made to circle once or made, without being stranded, to circle 2 to 10 times side by side, and wherein the side wire is a round steel wire consecutive from the annular core. This provides a high-strength cable bead that can press a tire main body against a wheel without fail even if a tire is charged with a high load.
Abstract:
A hoisting device rope has a width larger than a thickness thereof in a transverse direction of the rope. The rope includes a load-bearing part made of a composite material, said composite material comprising non-metallic reinforcing fibers, which include carbon fiber or glass fiber, in a polymer matrix. An elevator includes a drive sheave, an elevator car and a rope system for moving the elevator car by means of the drive sheave. The rope system includes at least one rope that has a width that is larger than a thickness thereof in a transverse direction of the rope. The rope includes a load-bearing part made of a composite material. The composite material includes reinforcing fibers in a polymer matrix.
Abstract:
A cable contains filaments containing carbon, surrounded by a sizing. The filaments surrounded by the sizing are covered by a matrix which is composed of a material containing at least one elastomer and/or at least one thermoplastic elastomer. The cable can be used, in particular for pulling a load, for example in a goods lift.
Abstract:
To improve a tensile strength without impairing flexibility and adhesion strength to concrete, and to form thick coating in a surface layer part for preventing a basis material from being exposed by a damage of the coating, a method of forming double coatings on a prestressing strand includes a primary painting process after a pre-treatment process, in which a resin coating is formed only in the surface layer, a secondary painting process in which respectively individual state resin coating is formed on outer peripheral face of each of the core wire and the surrounding wires under a loosened and separated state, thereby forming a double coating in each surrounding wire, and a finishing process of tightening and retwisting the surrounding wires about the core wire to an original state. The obtained prestressing strand has the double coating portions only in the surface layer thereof and enough flexibility and adhesion strength to concrete.
Abstract:
An unbonded PC steel strand used for posttensioning concrete comprising a PC steel strand composed of a plurality of stranded wires, a thin transparent lacquer coating on the outer surface of the PC steel strand, the lacquer coating being able to be broken when the PC steel strand is subjected to tension or posttensioning concrete, a filler applied around the lacquer coating, and a synthetic resin sheath covering the lacquer and filler coated PC steel strand. A method of manufacturing the unbond PC steel strand comprising steps of annealing the PC steel strand at a low temperature to remove strain, coating the outer surface of the PC steel strand with lacquer, applying a greaselike corrosion inhibitor to the surface of this lacquer coating, and sheating the coated PC steel strand with an outer synthetic resin sheath.
