    摘要: Devices and methods are described for remotely tuning a diesel engine of a vehicle using a pneumatic control device. A tunable control system for an aneroid fuel control (AFC) injection system includes a pneumatic control device that has a pneumatic pressure regulator configured to be adjusted by a first tuning adjustment controller and a pneumatic flow control valve configured to be adjusted by a second tuning adjustment controller. An air signal line links the pressure regulator to the flow control valve. The control system also includes an inlet line connected to the control device and configured to be connected to an air pressure source of an engine. An outlet line is connected to the control device and is configured to be connected to an AFC of an engine.

    摘要: A control apparatus for internal combustion engines, which generates an adjustment path on the path of an adjustment member which is proportional to the air mass supplied to the engine. The control apparatus contains a counterpart pressure chamber sealed off from the outside and separated in a pressure-tight manner by an adjustment diaphragm from a first pressure chamber exposed to induced air pressure. A pressure source generating a reference absolute pressure which is constant under all operating conditions is connected to the counterpart pressure chamber. Consequently, the apparatus performs the function of a charge pressure stop equipped with a diaphragm box. The air reservoir of an air pressure brake system, a reservoir charged with the exhaust gas counterpressure or charge air pressure, or a vacuum pump can serve as the pressure source, and an absolute pressure controller controls the reference absolute pressure prevailing in the counterpart pressure chamber.

    摘要: An engine driven air pump produces a vacuum having a magnitude or level which increases with engine speed. The air pump is connected to a pneumatic governor which varies the volume of fuel injected into the engine by a fuel injection pump in accordance with the level of vacuum. A control valve variably communicates the inlet of the governor with the atmosphere to control the level of vacuum. A high speed valve connected in series with the control valve progressively closes when the engine speed exceeds a predetermined maximum value. A shut-off valve connected in series with the control valve closes when an engine on-off switch is turned off.
