摘要： A segmented air filtration element is provided. The segmented air filtration element includes a center tube defining a central axis and an inner passage therein. The center tube includes a plurality of ribs extending along the central axis and spaced apart from one another. A plurality of segmenting surfaces is attached to the center tube in a radial arrangement with respect to the central axis. The plurality of segmenting surfaces is configured to accommodate a plurality of filter media therebetween such that each of the plurality of filter media is selectively replaceable therefrom.

摘要： An apparatus and method are provided for a cone air filter for a closed intake system of an internal combustion engine. The cone air filter is comprised of a cone-shaped filter medium, retained between a base and a cap, that is fabricated to remove contaminants and particulate matter from an intake airstream. The base is comprised of a flange that couples with an air intake duct of the internal combustion engine. A shell receiver is incorporated into the base and receives a rigid exterior shell, such that the exterior shell surrounds the cone air filter and directs the intake airstream therein. A cap is disposed on an apex portion of the cone air filter and is configured to direct the intake airstream around the apex portion and into the cone-shaped filter medium.

摘要： An air filter for a fresh air system of an internal combustion engine may include a housing having a first housing shell and a second housing shell. An intermediate panel may be disposed therebetween separating a crude chamber from a clean chamber in the housing. The intermediate panel may have a passage opening. A filter element may be arranged in the passage opening, and the filter element may include a surrounding seal. The intermediate panel may include a surrounding seal contour on an inside edge bordering the passage opening, and the seal may rest on the seal contour. A fixing frame may be configured as a separate component with respect to the intermediate panel, the two housing shells, and the filter component. The fixing frame may encompass a side of the seal facing away from the seal contour along the filter element and be secured to the intermediate panel.

摘要： A first papermaking raw material for an upper layer and a second papermaking raw material for a lower layer are subjected to papermaking so as to form a filtering material with a continuous density gradient from the upper layer to the lower layer. Each of the papermaking raw materials contains natural fibers such as pulp and chemical fibers such as PET. The content of the chemical fibers in the first papermaking raw material is higher than the content of the chemical fibers in the second papermaking raw material. The diameter of the chemical fibers in the first papermaking raw material is larger than the diameter of the chemical fibers in the second papermaking raw material. The thus-obtained filtering material is able to collect a wide size range of particles and is made less susceptible to clogging and longer in life.

The bottom casting shell part has a channel for receiving the sealing material. The channel has an upwardly projecting limitation element for engaging an inner side of the end fold.

The filter element includes a filter media pack with a mounting frame attached to the outer periphery of the filter media pack. The mounting frame defines a channel that holds a shut-off material for preventing leakage of an adhesive securing the mounting frame to the filter media pack. A filter element that includes a polymeric material between the filter media pack and the adhesive is also provided. The shut-off material may be pre-formed or applied in a flowable state.
