    摘要： A pump/air separator apparatus for use in dispensing gasoline includes an air separator of the cyclone type in which air and a low percentage of gasoline are removed from the pressurized gasoline by the air separator, with the air being vented to the atmosphere and the gasoline being returned to the suction side of the pump. Simultaneously pure gasoline is delivered from the air separator through an outlet valve to a meter and then to the nozzle dispenser, and any excess of such pure gasoline is bypassed back to the suction side of the pump.

    摘要： An oil distribution gear pump with an integrate air pump. This pump comprises a main body being divided into an oil distribution chamber and an oil recirculation chamber, these chambers being adapted for distributing oil to the outside and recovering oil from oil bubbles, respectively, and communicating with each other through a bubble circulation conduit and an oil recovering port. The eccentric rotary gear assembly for sucking up oil and feeding the oil to the oil distribution chamber includes a drive gear internally engaging with an eccentric rotary gear. This gear assembly is elastically supported by a compression coil spring such that the drive gear elastically advances and retracts when the eccentric rotary gear eccentrically rotates. The first and second floats are arranged in the oil distribution chamber and the oil recirculation chamber for closing or opening the bubble circulation conduit and the oil recovering port, respectively. The bubble circulation conduit is connected to an air separator for separating air from oil bubbles and ejecting the oil bubbles to the inside of the oil recirculation chamber in order to burst these bubbles. The separated air is discharged to the outside, while the remaining oil is recovered by the oil distribution chamber.

    摘要： A self priming gear pump 14 for pumping liquids containing gases is provided with a vent pipe 26 for releasing entrapped gases that would otherwise collect at the outlet side of the pump 14. The vent pipe 26 terminates within the pump housing 21 at a zone which is out of the path of the oil centrifuged by the gears 25 and in the region lying near the point of intersection of the gears 25. An additional inlet pipe 27 which directs liquid across the main inlet into the gap between the periphery of one of the gears 25 and the housing 21 may be provided to improve liquid sealing.

    摘要： A gear pump (10) is disclosed having a housing (12) defining first and second gear cavities (38,40) and inlet and outlet ports (42,44). A pair of intermeshing gears (20,22) having a plurality of teeth (32) and teeth roots (36) are positioned in the cavities. A pair of bleed slots (50) are provided for directly communicating with the gear tooth roots and permitting entrained air and fluid thereat to be delivered away from the inlet and outlet ports. Advantageously, the bleed slots are located generally adjacent the breakaway points (46) of the respective cavities, and a pair of charging slots (62) are provided for communicating pressure from the outlet port with the gear teeth and encouraging movement of entrained air radially inwardly toward the bleed slots.
