    摘要: An endless belt conveyor annealing lehr having burner means located above the belt. The belt is foraminous and supported throughout the length of the lehr by a system of perforated plates. A shroud extends intermediate the walls of the lehr and a fan is located adjacent to the burner means outlet. This combination results in a continuous circulating atmosphere impinging directly upon the work being conveyed through the lehr. Means is also provided to control the temperature of the work throughout the length of the lehr, particularly at the entrance thereof.

    摘要: A method for the thermal treatment of mineral raw materials such as limestone or dolomite is shown and described, which includes at least the following steps of a. providing a mineral bulk material and a conductive material and b. placing the mineral bulk material and the conductive material into a kiln, generating an electromagnetic field inside the kiln, thermally treating the mineral bulk material in the kiln by means of electromagnetic excitation of the conductive material in the electromagnetic field, and removing the thermally treated mineral bulk material and the conductive material from the kiln. Using the method described, even large quantities of mineral bulk material can be efficiently converted.

    摘要: A shaft of a stirring fan for a heat treatment apparatus includes a blade fixing portion for fixing a plurality of blades. The blade fixing portion has a cylindrical portion extending in a shaft direction of the shaft. A hole inside the cylindrical portion is open to one end face of the shaft. The stirring fan has a discharge portion for discharging gas inside the cylindrical portion to the outside of the blade fixing portion. The discharge portion is open to the outside of the blade fixing portion, at a position away from the one end face of the shaft.

The process includes passing the solid along a kiln having a hollow interior, while supporting the solid on supports moved successively along the kiln and heating the solid, by radiant heat, to a temperature at which it undergoes an endothermic chemical reaction. The installation includes a kiln having a hollow interior with an inlet end and an outlet end, a roof, a floor and a pair of opposed side walls, and a path for supports loaded with the solid to pass successively along in the interior, from the inlet end to the outlet end, the path extending along the floor. The installation includes heating surfaces for radiating heat towards the solid on supports passing along the path, and a plurality of supports, movable in succession along the path.

    摘要: The present invention provides a system and method for collecting fumes from an arc furnace of the type typically used in metal foundries. The system provides an electrode hood with extended sides for improved collection of fumes from the vicinity of the electrodes. It also provides a movable spout hood for collection of fumes when metal is tapped. The furnace is tilted when metal is tapped. A tilting duct is connected to provide a path for emissions drawn into the hood on the furnace. The tilting duct moves with the furnace. A stationary duct leads to the bag house. The tilting duct and stationary duct meet at an interface and have facing openings that maintain a path for collecting fumes throughout the entire range of motion of the furnace. The stationary duct has a group of dampers that open and close as the furnace tilts to limit air intake to the portion of the stationary duct opening that is adjacent the tilting duct opening. Variable position dampers may be provided at the electrode hood and furnace door. In the bag house, there is a dust containment assembly to limit the movement of the collected dust. A variable speed fan may be used with the system.
