    摘要: A modular industrial energy transfer system includes a shell and at least one energy transfer unit coupled to the shell. The shell includes a plurality of sidewalls, a ceiling member coupled thereto, and a plurality of mounting structures disposed along the shell. The plurality of sidewalls and the ceiling member cooperate to define an interior volume to accommodate a work product. The at least one energy transfer unit is coupled to the shell via at least one of the plurality of mounting structures and is partially disposed through the shell to generate an airflow pattern through the interior volume of the shell.

    摘要: When aluminium products are preheated in a preheating furnace up to about 500° C. before they are brazed with a flux in a heating furnace, a nitrogen atmosphere in the preheating furnace is made convectional by fans for improving heating efficiencies and also for having the oxygen which is brought into the preheating furnace as a disturbance thereof and scattered about in the nitrogen atmosphere, contacted to furnace inner walls of the preheating furnace which are made from carbonaceous materials, and reacted therewith so as to be changed to CO, resulting in keeping the oxygen concentration of nitrogen atmosphere low, whereby when the aluminium products are brazed by heating them in a continuous atmosphere furnace including said preheating furnace and said heating furnace, heating time thereof is shorten and the brazing is made more economically than before.

    摘要: A reverse air flow oven for symmetrically heating product inserted within a heating chamber in the oven. The oven includes duct work configured symmetrically about the heating chamber, and a fan provides continuous circulation through the duct work and the heating chamber. The duct work also includes a pair of doors having complimentary configurations so that in one configuration, the air flow is in a first direction, and in the complimentary configuration, the doors cause air flow in the opposite direction. Further, a perforated plate regulates and equalizes air flow across the heating chamber and includes valve plates for controlling a build up of static pressure within the heating chamber.

    摘要: A forced convection furnace gas plenum having a mixing chamber to provide a heated gas of a more uniform temperature is presented. The plenum includes a heating element for heating gas and an orifice plate for metering the flow of heated gas to product within the furnace. A heater plate having larger apertures than those of the orifice plate is disposed between the heating element and the orifice plate. The apertures in the heater plate are sized to allow heated gas to pass therethrough into the mixing chamber, located between the heater plate and the orifice plate, with minimal pressure loss. The heated gas mixes in the mixing chamber, causing the temperature to become more uniform before the gas exits through the orifice plate to impinge on the product.

    摘要: A vacuum heat treating furnace includes a pressure vessel having a wall that defines a chamber wherein metal parts are vacuum heat treated. A fan is disposed inside the chamber for circulating a cooling gas therein. An electric motor is mounted externally to the pressure vessel for driving the fan. A drive shaft interconnects the fan and the electric motor through an opening in the wall of the pressure vessel. The vacuum furnace incorporates a dual seal for providing a vacuum-tight seal and a gas-tight seal where the drive shafts passes through the pressure vessel wall. The dual seal includes an inflatable seal surrounding the drive shaft for providing a vacuum-tight seal around said drive shaft when the furnace chamber is evacuated to a subatmospheric pressure. The dual seal also includes one or more lip seals surrounding the drive shaft adjacent to said inflatable seal for providing a gas-tight seal around said drive shaft when the furnace chamber is backfilled with a superatmospheric pressure of the cooling gas and while the drive shaft is rotating.
