    摘要: Automated analyzers to measure or determine parameters in mineral slurries or process water, in particular to online and automated analyzers to measure pH, or to perform quantitative volumetric titrations relying on spectra absorbance of a liquid extracted from titrant and titrant mixture to determine the endpoint of titration, such as the measurement of liquid hardness in mineral slurries or process water. An automated pH analyzer may include a processor operable to manage the operations associated with the apparatus, an automated sampler coupled to the vessel or conduit and operable to extract a sample of a determined volume of the slurry or process water from the vessel or conduit, the automated sampler being under control of the processor, a water source under control of the processor and operable to deliver a known volume of water of a known pH into the sample, a mixing chamber that receives the known volume of water and the sample, an agitator operable to agitate the sample and the known volume of water in the mixing chamber to produce a diluted sample mixture, an automated filter operable to extract an aliquot of the diluted sample mixture from the mixing chamber and to filter the aliquot to produce a filtrate, a pH probe after the automated filter to measure the pH of filtrate, and a pH probe within the mixing chamber operable to measure a pH of the diluted sample mixture. The measurement is used to calculate the pH of the extracted sample, and to alter in near real time a process control of the a mineral processing operation related to the mineral slurry or process water.

    摘要: Provided are a concentration-factor measurement device and method for accurately calculating a concentration factor of circulating water, and a method for measuring a water-quality index value of the circulating water. The concentration-factor measurement device includes a light-absorbance measurement unit (1) for measuring absorbance by irradiating each of cells (12A-12C) with light, and an electrode measurement unit (2) equipped with electrodes (16, 17) that are inserted into a water sample in a container (20). For each item of water quality, the device calculates a concentration factor on the basis of a measured value measured when the water sample (W) is the circulating water, and a measured value measured when the water sample (W) is makeup water. A plurality of concentration factors are calculated on the basis of the measured values for plural items of water quality. Hence an accurate concentration factor can be obtained.

    摘要: An embodiment provides a method for determining a concentration of an analyte in a fluid sample, including: introducing a fluid sample into a measurement chamber; operating a measurement device to introduce light of a first wavelength to the fluid sample; measuring, with a detector, absorbance of the light of the first wavelength with respect to the fluid sample; operating the measurement device to introduce light of a second wavelength to the fluid sample; measuring, with the detector, absorbance of the light of the second wavelength with respect to the fluid sample; determining, using a processor of the measurement device, an absorbance ratio of the fluid sample using both the measured absorbance of the light of the first wavelength and the measured absorbance of the light of the second wavelength; and providing, via an output device, a determined concentration value for the fluid sample that correlates to the absorbance ratio.
