Furthermore, a printer assembly is communicatively associated with the transaction terminal and generates a card assembly, the card assembly including a first portion containing the authorization code thereon, a second portion including additional promotional materials thereon, and an indicator structured to signify to the printer assembly the orientation of the card assembly relative thereto so as to prevent improper printing. The user account as defined by the control assembly, includes a defined value, the authorization code provided being utilized to facilitate a transaction in accordance with that defined value.

    摘要: Telephone debit cards are automatically vended through a microprocessor controlled vending machine which permits card payment in cash and credit. The customer can select a desired telephone card value and a desired telecommunications carrier. Prepaid and printed cards are dispensed. Optionally, printed receipts are dispensed including an access code and prepaid value. The vending machine generated real-time communications with an electronics funds clearing house for customer validity and funds approval. After electronics transfer of funds to the machine, the telephone debit card is dispensed and funds are electronically transferred to the selected telecommunications carrier via real-time communications with the carrier for electronic transfer of the card value thus permitting immediate use of the telephone card by the customer.

    摘要: In certain embodiments, a system for automated distribution and indexing of prepaid calling card information comprises a central terminal operable to receive a request to purchase prepaid telephone services from an initiating terminal. The request comprises an identifier of a financial account to be used to purchase the prepaid telephone services. The central terminal is operable to electronically seek authorization for the request, initiate electronic debiting of the financial account using the identifier, and log a transaction indicating a purchase of prepaid telephone services in response to receipt of the authorization. The central terminal is operable to initiate electronic transmission, according to purchaser contact information, of calling card information from the central terminal to at least one electronic storage medium for access by a purchaser. The calling card information provides access to the prepaid telephone services instead of using a telephone card or printed receipt to obtain the prepaid telephone services.

In the product registration system, a point of sale system obtains a communication code that is associated with a product and transfers the communication code to a code processing system. Examples of the communication code include a phone card code or a pre-paid phone card code. The code processing system processes the communication code to determine manufacturer information for the product. The code processing system transfers a product registration request to a manufacturer registration system based on the manufacturer information to register the product with the manufacturer. The code processing system also transfers the communication code and a communication code activation request to a communication code activation system to activate the communication code. The product registration system advantageously automates product registration and communication code activation.
