摘要: Apparatus for use in fabricating pleated materials, particularly for forming pleats in drapery materials such as swags and cascades. The apparatus greatly facilitates and eliminates some certain hand operations. A plurality of parallel upstanding spaced members is provided. The members are connected by adjustable lazy tongs means so that the members are adjustable to a desired uniform spacing. The members may be either straight or they may be of curved configuration for making swags. The material is placed over the members and then uniform pleats are formed over the members with the pleats then being held to the members by holding devices. The members are constructed so that they can be manipulated or actuated to hold all the pleats which are then secured by stapling prior to the removal of the completed material and final fabrication.

摘要: Here is disclosed a composite sheet comprising substantially non-stretchable nonwoven fabric sheets and a plurality of elastic members extending in a transverse direction and spaced one from another in a longitudinal direction by a given spacing wherein the elastic members are secured in a stretched state to the nonwoven fabric sheets. The composite sheet has a plurality of gathers formed by slightly undulated surface of the nonwoven fabric sheets and the elastic members and these gathers are substantially continuous in the longitudinal direction and arranged at substantially regular intervals in the transverse direction.

摘要: A three dimensional cellular shade 20 attached to a roller. The cells 28 of the shade expand outward as the shade is unrolled. The shade is made from two sheets of fabric. One of the fabrics is decorative 24, the other fabric 22 is more functional. The decorative fabric 24 is longer in length than the functional fabric 22. The two fabrics are joined together along a plurality of joints 26 extending down the length of the shade. These joints are uniformly displaced from one another. The ratio of decorative fabric to functional fabric between any two joints is greater than one. This ratio is important for ensuring that the cells will expand outward as the shade is unrolled.

摘要: A method of pleating a garment, wherein an unfinished garment, prepared by sewing cloth parts together, is folded, rolled and twisted, and then attached to a holder. The holder holding the garment is placed in a heat-treatment apparatus, and the unfinished garment is heat-treated and pleated at the same time in the heat-treatment apparatus filled with saturated steam.

摘要: Pleated cloth made of thermoplastic resin is enhanced in its appearance by providing a film pattern section to the end of the cloth to melt a certain part of pleating. This invention relates to an improved pleated cloth and the method for producing the same, and the method for producing the improved pleated cloth includes the steps of: forming pleating on the cloth made of thermoplastic resin; melt-forming a film pattern section on the adequate area of the pleating lines by using a patterned roller and an ultrasonic generator; and erasing a certain area of the pleating lines by the provision of the film pattern section. The product as above improves over the prior art in that it eliminates the need for the sewing machine and thread used in conventional hemming.

摘要: A device for gathering and retaining a portion of a fabric article such as an article of clothing, includes a first, elastic ribbon- or cord-shaped element fastened at one end to the article to be gathered within a seating or sleeve provided on the fabric article. The first element is also attached at at least two points to a second ribbon- or cord-shaped element such that the overlapping portion of one of the elements is longer than that of the other element. A rigid lamina is provided attached to the larger overlapping portion to engage the front edge of the fabric sleeve, thereby securing the fabric in the gathered position.

摘要: A method of making a pleated decorative fabric in which a length of light and relatively sheer fabric woven from natural fiber yarns first is shirred adjacent to one end thereof in the direction of the fabric weft to reduce the fabric width by a factor of about one third, then is treated to remove the yarn size as by washing in a detergent and rinsing, then is wrung around an axis extending in the direction of the fabric warp and finally is dried to produce the desired pleated fabric.
