摘要: LED light bulbs include openings in base or cover portions, and optional forced flow elements, for convective cooling. Thermally conductive optically transmissive material may be used for cooling, optionally including fins. A LED light engine may be fabricated from a substrate via planar fabrication techniques and shaped to form a substantially rigid upright support structure. Mechanical, electrical, and thermal connections may be made between a LED light engine and a LED light bulb.

摘要: The present invention relates to a backlight unit for use in a display device. The backlight unit includes a circuit board, at least one light-emitting diode chip mounted on the circuit board, a plurality of reflection members arranged on the upper part of the light-emitting diode chip, and a light diffusing member. The light diffusing member has an incident surface on which light enters and an emitting surface from which light is emitted. The light diffusing member is arranged on the upper part of the circuit board. The plurality of reflection members are stacked on each other and reflect a part of light emitted from the upper surface of the light-emitting diode chip.

摘要: A mounting apparatus configured to mount a personal electronic device (PED) in an aircraft flight deck and provide a visible indication on the PED display when a fault condition exists includes an optical sensor positioned to view the PED display and configured to record an image of the PED display; an optically transparent surface configured to be overlaid on the PED display; an actuatable covering on the surface wherein the actuatable covering has a first optically transparent state and a second optically emissive state; an excitation source configured to cause the covering to switch from the first state to the second state; and a controller configured to transmit an image of the PED display recorded by the optical sensor to a server and command, responsive to receipt of an enable signal from the server, the actuation source to actuate the covering to indicate that the fault condition exists.

摘要: An LED lamp includes a transparent sheet, a grid casing, a printed circuit board (PCB), liquid sealant, and a lid. The transparent sheet covers on a top of the grid casing. The PCB is located between the grid casing and the lid. The grid casing has a surrounding portion and a grille portion. The lid covers a bottom of the grille portion and secures the PCB. A sealed room is formed in the grille portion and enclosed by the transparent sheet, the grid casing and the lid. The surrounding portion has a feeding channel communicating with the grille portion. The liquid sealant is fed into the sealed room through the feeding channel. The feeding channel is finally closed to seal the liquid sealant.

摘要: A light assembly includes a laser light emitting diode for emitting a light beam along an axis and a diffusing assembly for deflecting the light beam substantially 360 degrees around the axis. The diffusing assembly includes a light diffuser for receiving and scattering a light beam emitted from the diode, a phosphor tube for further scattering the light emitted from the diffuser, and a mirror for returning any light with is not deflected radially through the phosphor tube back into the phosphor tube. The deflector has a reflective end surface to allow the light repeated passes thorough the phosphor tube until it escapes radially through the tube.

摘要: One or more light emitting diode diodes (LEDs) are attached to a printed circuit board. The attached LEDs are connectable with a power source via circuitry of the printed circuit board. An overmolding material is insert molded an over at least portions of the printed circuit board proximate to the LEDs to form a free standing high thermal conductivity material overmolding that covers at least portions of the printed circuit board proximate to the LEDs. The free standing high thermal conductivity material has a melting temperature greater than about 100° C. and has a thermal conductivity greater than or about 1 W/m·K. In some embodiments, the free standing high thermal conductivity material is a thermoplastic material.
